World Animal Day - Tom Edition
As per Twitter, it’s World Animal Day today... and of course, that got me thinking of Tom with animals.

Can we talk about Kittleston?
Specifically this moment:
Look at him. Look at how he treats the baby leopard (keeping in mind that he had been told to be careful with it and not let it fall because these felines don’t land on their feet, so to speak).
He isn’t annoyed by it. He doesn’t grab at it. He doesn’t try to pry it off his arm.
He is delighted by it. He supports it. He handles the booty so the lil bebe is secure.
IT IS JUST ONE OF THE MOST WONDERFUL PAINFUL HIDDLESTON MOMENTS EVER OKAY AND I CAN’T EVEN TALK ABOUT THE FACE SNUGGLING AND KITTY KISSES

From the last few months…in gifs…in no particular order…
1) Professor Tom in front of his library. Ugh.
2) Sweaty Penguin Suit Dancing Tom. Really didn’t need that.
3) Excited Weatherman Tom. Puh-lease. Don’t quit your day job, dear.
4) Blue Tuxedo Princess Leia Rubber Ducky On His Head Tom/Donut Tom. Take your whimsy and go away.
5) Stephen Colbert Tom. The whole thing. *gagging noises*
6A) Glasses Tom. Get Lasik and stop the torture, Four Eyes.
6B) ISTL Press Tom. Enough with the accent and the hat, you Wannabe Cowboy.
7) Nontraditional Suit Tom. And also the socks. Ludicrous Popinjay.
8) This face. Unacceptable.
9) Any incarnation of White Shirt Tom.
10) Kittleston. I’m never going to recover from this. Never.
going back to 4yr old Tom, just imagine when he was that age .. blonde gloomy curls, big baby blues teary because he scraped his knee or something and he runs to his mum. :3

Mum: *hears crying* “What is it, darling?”
4 year old Tommy H.: "I’ve sustained a mild contusion to the outer covering of my patella. Have no fear, it is not a mortal wound. I require a plaster and a plethora of sweet booboo kisses. Wouldst thou be so gracious as to bestow them upon your poor son?”
Mum: *sigh*
I don't know if it's just me, but I thought Tom seemed a bit tense when he held the clouded leopard. He did a great job, but he's definitely more of a dog person. Not that there's anything wrong in that. xo 🐶
I think he was internally uncontrollably excited and had to consciously keep himself from squealing and kissing all over that thing like a five year old with his first kitteh. He sort of squelched the “So sweet” and “So cute” exclamations, most likely because he was aware of being on camera.
He was very attentive to it, watching it and petting it in a way that the other gentleman did not. He put it up close to his face for maximum sensory interaction. He didn’t just hold it, he cradled it, and clutched it with both hands. He tweeted twice about it in as many days. He’s probably regretting not taking a selfie with it. And really, the face snuggling is pretty much THE WORST THING EVER.
