TO REACTIVATE THE WIRELESS NETWORK, YOU MUST ANSWER THREE RIDDLES OR PROVIDE TRIBUTE OF CANNED FOOD
Kuiper is doing a lot better since getting on antibiotics. His paw is in much better shape and he's leaving my room more often to nap in the cat tree, the living room couch, or this chair in Roz's room. He'll even bat a bit at a cat teaser again though he still is a very low energy cat who mostly naps. (And accepts pettings from both of us most of the time.)
He's roughly 9 years old this year, so still not a terribly old cat, but does have much older cat vibes at times already.
The router is warm.
Purely coincidentally, every now and then our wifi mysteriously turns off.
Look! Kuiper in a sunbeam on the cat tree! A rare photo opportunity of the shy boy!
But.. hmmm... is someone jealous?
He hadn't even been in the room until I started baby talking Kuiper...
Ah. Yes. He IS jealous.
Kuiper doesn't like being at the vet.
Unfortunately for him and for my wallet, his little immune system is not going to be getting better, so it's probably going to be a monthly routine whenever I can afford it on top of cortizone cream on his paws and a much more expensive oral medication (cyclosporine) since continuing the injections that had been helping could risk his also developing diabetes.
His paws continue to be cracked and swollen, his eyes are increasingly gunky (though lysine in food helps) and he's swiftly developing bad gingivitis due to the general immune system fuckery.
I think I can handle the costs in April without needing to ask for help, so long as other surprise expenses happen, but other months might be dicier with the $90 vet appt and $85 or so for meds (if that bottle is only one month's worth, I am a little hazy on that until I get it and read the dosages etc.)
I am extremely nervous about the gingivitis because cat dental stuff is generally expensive as all fuck =/ But I love my little Kuiper Kitty.
My seldom photographed boy, Kuiper Lavellan. He lurks in darkness and is very shy, and tends to get up and move if he sees the phone in my hand. He absolutely HATES that furniture and stuff is being moved around and boxes of Roz's stuff are appearing, he does not like changes in his surroundings.
He does however love having me pet that fluffy belly and side of his, and will start grooming my hand if I do it right. He only really wants to be petted on the bed, and will run from a pet most of the time elsewhere, but on the bed will get jealous and crowd in if Solas or Frumpkin are being petted.
He also is one of the most likely cats to exchange a face grooming with another in the house, particularly with Solas and Frumpkin, but also surprisingly with the Void, and he was my late Oreo's best cuddle friend.
Since Oreo died, Kai doesn't actually cuddle and lie with anyone, though he used to with Solas too.
