Needless to say, the precious (demon child) takes that job very seriously. It's one of his favorite spots to be when we're in the library--if he's not actually in his soft cat bad, of course. (Xaden usually claimed the window or is demanding attention from me at the desk.)

Oliver, June 2023 to now. Scared feral to confident asshole taking a piss DIRECTLY INTO the fresh litter. There are TWO clean litter boxes behind him, mind.

Howl, Dec 1 to today. He’ll be 6 mo in May. He doesn’t know he has a month left before I chop his balls off.

Updates on Raphael. He’s a very good kitty and can do a surprising amount of stuff like climb the cat tower, get stuck in boxes, fight his sister, and sniff out the food.

Same person who sent the other kitten ask, YENNE IS AN ADORIBLE NAME AND YES ITS A REFERENCE, am i gonna tell you what it means? Nah, but, tell your mom shes got good taste :)

Kitties should stay on formula until theyre roughly 1 years old, they open their eyes roughly at the age of 1-16 days and i would say maybe its 2 weeks old? Google helps ;-;

warm bath yes, and all the cuddles, I hope Yenne's living happier now, was there any other kittens nearby or meows/crying? Just double checkin

Kitty update #2

So, Little Yene (or Yenne, the spelling really doesn't matter much) is doing very well! She's gotten comfortable in my room, eats a lot and lazes around all day like any cat would, she's adjusting very well

I figured I should tell y'all the story of this little critter

Sunday night my mom found her outside our home, from the story she told me Yene was under a car and almost run over, and when she was picked up my mom realized she was not a feral cat at all, she didn't run from anyone and didn't seem scared of people

It was gonna rain all night so my mom decided to take her inside, my parents never planned to keep a cat as we already have a large dog, not to mention a toddler and baby on the way- however! I have been wanting a cat for years, and Yene just grabbed my heart so I (somehow) managed to convince the family to keep her

The leading theory is that someone's house cat had her and she was abandoned, because she really doesn't act like a stray at all, she's not scared of dogs or people, and doesn't hiss at anything. She was completely alone when we found her so I don't know if she had any siblings

She is as comfy as a kitten can be, I'd say she sleeps 90% of the time lol, also to the people who gave the advice of a warm wattle bottle under her covers- thank you! It's doing wonders to get her used to sleeping in her bed instead of mine

Changes are coming

I have recently gained access (bought) a new laptop, and with that comes a change in what programs i use to draw

I have in the past been an avid user of photoshop cs6, one of the last versions of photoshop they made that was a single purchase liscense. although i've been using a yarharhar version of it, that also came with some problems which meant the program used more ram than desired - and i have had enough.

So; i'm moving my business to krita! I have used this program before, but not very regularly as i maybe should've, so i still need to get used to it. This combined with me starting my university classes this next week means i probably won't post as 'frequently' as usual.

but fear not! I will still strive to atleast post some gay furry shit on the weekends i got time for it - and mayhaps on days i dont have research and whatnot to do

Squeaky update: she continues to turn her nose up at every version of soft food I can think of. She also threw up a little yesterday - the first time since we’ve had her, so I suspect that’s either my fault for leaving food out too long, or the unbalanced ratio of rich Churu to Normal Food -- so we are getting her a prescription diet and appetite stimulant from vet today (more $$!). I am honestly not sure the latter will help because she IS hungry, every time I open the food bag she is eager and excited and meows pitifully and keeps pressing her paw against my leg while waiting for the food to “cook” (soak), but when I put it down you can actually see the despair in her face that I am once again serving her MUCK.

(but at least she’s still eating a bite or two of that. she will not touch the canned stuff, nor any of the broth or gravy toppings, and not even real chicken shreds)

I keep telling myself it’s only another week, she is eating just enough that she will (probably??) not starve to death at this point, and I also keep telling myself it’s better that she hate wet food, than become addicted to wet food and refuse to eat the cost-efficient dry, but god. I am so excited to get a full night’s sleep again.
