I got recognized at Free Comic Book Day yesterday.

Someone approached me and asked, "I know this is gonna seem like a really dumb question if you're not, but....are you KittyMarie?"

I replied that I was.

The guy's eyes got a tinge of sadness to them, and he shook my hand. "I just wanted to say, I'm so sorry for your loss."

I thanked him.

Being recognized is still a weird thing for me. I appreciate it and am grateful, don't get me wrong. But even as a TGWTG reference, I'm pretty specific. I'm more used to it at cons -- I hardly ever get recognized "in the wild" otherwise.

All because I happened to develop a crush on a guy three years ago.

That yellow outline? It represented the location of JewWario in the finalized image... Oh, and then there was this picture of Kitty-Marie, but there was someone else on it, you know, that guy... with the glasses.

So yeah, this is a picture created from 3 images: A snapshot from the TGWTG brawl (about 10 minutes in), a picture of Katie with Doug Walker and a picture of JewWario taken by Efram T Rabbit at MAGfest, which I slightly modified to remove the YCPT from his T-Shirt (as he wasn't producing these tees yet at that time) as well as the Magfest badge.

And yes, I know that JW and Katie stand out as they were not lit the same as the scene, but I think for a slightly joking image the 2D-Cardboard cutout look is acceptable. Plus the original lighting in the Brawl video is at best mediocre.
