What do you think about Scott G waking up earlier?

I have no idea how he would get drafted, maybe he wouldn’t bother to hide hes a vampire and they recruit him as a vampire soldier? he and legundo meet and they both hate each other (of course) and the doc is less willing to give grace because he hasn’t gone on his “i will save everyone” arc yet. essentially it’s definitely not good and should totally happen
ooooh okay what do bloodloathing hate MOST about each other. not in like a serious plot- or theme-related way but what’s their biggest pet peeve about each other. (in the toxic hating each other canon universe <33)

I think Legundo would absolutely hate Scott's dismissive and passive aggressive way of talking. "Exactlyyyyy! Exactlyyyy!" And he would be sitting there twitching his eye wondering when Scott is going to talk like he doesn't have some trick up his sleeve for once
and I know you said not in a serious plot related way, but I think this works just enough: Scott's pet peeve is probably Legundo's hypocrisy. I think it's why he starts to mock the Doctor in about 5-6 of vsmp because he knows the Doctor knows that he's being a hypocrite. Of course, Scott is also being a hypocrite, but it still gets slightly under his skin regardless.
another fun option is Scott being peeved by legundo's stage three. like, he gets it that the doc is going through trauma or whatever, but can he at least wash his clothes first before he goes insane? Or maybe find wherever his glass eye went?

When Legundo had first decided to move to Oakhurst in between war times, he had not expected it to be run by the most annoying prick alive.
Scott Goldsmith was an eccentric man who ran the town with an iron fist, letting anyone near him know that he (quite literally) had fangs and would use them. It was pretentious and Legundo honestly hoped someone would take care of him soon. Unfortunately, before his wish could be fulfilled, Scott had found him in town.
"Hello, new resident. Our local commander," Scott purred as he tapped Legundo's shoulder. His striking white hair was like infected areas on a piece of meat: a warning sign of the poison to come. The townsfolk started to head the other direction of the town square, avoiding the altercation that was sure to come.
"Hello, Mr. Goldsmith," Legundo uttered as he plucked an apple from the stand in front of him and handed the vendor a silver coin. The silver was uncomfortable, sure, but he never planned to be at a level where it would actually hurt him, so he kept plenty of it on his person. Scott's red eyes watched the coin with interest. "What brings me the pleasure to see you on this fine day?"
"I have some…inquiries about your time in the war." Scott carefully tiptoed around him, seeing him, inspecting him. Like if he looked hard enough, he could see the vampire underneath. Legundo could tell what he wanted: the vampire soldier. The killer. He wasn’t sure how the man had connected the dots so quickly, but it wasn’t good.
If Legundo could guess, the noble was about two hundred or so years younger than him. Given the fact he wasn't trailing after a distinguished vampire, he could tell that Scott's sire had left him and let him loose. That made him angry, but not enough to feel bad for Scott Goldsmith. He knew of the man's actions and power and had done his best to help the townsfolk where he could.
"I'm afraid I'm quite the busy man." Legundo wouldn't let his fangs show. If there was one thing he liked more than being useful, it was winning. He could tell when someone was setting up a trap. "As are you."
"No, I have plenty of time. What else did you have planned for today? I'll come with you." He had planned to visit a couple of the starving children to feed them the food he could afford, but there was no way he was going to let the noble tag along for that. Not when he wanted to keep running the town smoother than Scott ever would.
(It would be easier if the man would just get staked already. Then he could pass the duty of leadership onto someone who could properly take care of it and slip away in the shadows to watch from afar. He was not meant to be a leader unless he was on the battlefield. That was his blessing and his curse.)
"Nevermind. We can talk for a bit."
"Great!" Scott smiled with all of his teeth. It was astounding how unafraid he was to show his vampirism. It showed so much overconfidence that it got under his skin ever so slightly. "Come to my castle, dear commander. We can talk over a game of chess."

Imagining the two of them walking under a bunch of cherry trees and Scott teasing Legundo by being like “Look you’ve multiplied!! There’s so many of you now it’s adorable!!” and the doc would get so flustered over it until he grabs a couple of cherries and stuffs it into scott’s mouth just to get him to stop talking for a bit (which doesnt go well for the food adverse vampire and he’s VERY sulky about it after)

bloodloathing...hmmm...I hate them actually /j
seriously though, they are so fascinating to me...like, they barely interacted in the canon series. legundo saw him and what he was doing and hated him on sight. WHEN HE WAS TALKING TO OWEN, he literally let his hatred of Scott overtake the conversation with his situationship and blind him to what was, to the rest of us, the overall truth.
When Scott comes flirting in the town, he stands his ground. Scott is the only vampire that causes him great anxiety. Pyro? There's still hope for him it's not his fault. Owen? I can fix him. Shelby? Heart of gold. Apo and Cleo? They seem aligned with the town just enough. Scott? NOOOO, he was fully ready to KILL Scott the moment Owen wasn't available (his sire) and only stopped because of Shelby and drift.
and at what point of hatred and fixation can I stop and raise my eyebrow and go hm..but what if 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈??
My only downfall is that I have yet to watch Scott's pov yet because I prefer watching his characters through other peoples' lenses. I'm probably gonna have to watch it eventually if I want more crumbs though
Plus. If we don't even take into account the canon series and just their character stereotypes/personalities, well
Legundo:
-Doctor who has seen the poor and seen the less fortunate and seeks to help them
-Leadership position once he's in the town but never truly realizes it or his power
-Has years of experience but doesn't bring it up often unless he needs to drive his point about hunger home
-"We are hard wired to remember the bad times more than the good."
-Thinks he doesn't deserve eternity and when given the chance to escape vampirism and die, he takes it while also trying to help the others (ok, really, just abolish.)
Scott:
-Is a noble and inherently doesn't seem to understand the struggles of the less fortunate
-TAKES leadership, dominants above the others because he's the oldest
-Has years of experience and always brings it up
-"You should live every day like it's your last, except for me it's never my last. Remember the good more than the bad."
-Took vampirism without a second thought and loves living forever. I'm pretty sure he's only died like a few times in the canon series
Also. Not to mention. The AU possibilities OHHH the AU possibilities!!! I am a very character driven person at heart. If I can take my blorbos with me wherever I chose to be interested in then they're set. I've created like a million of them with bloodloathing alone and I hope to turn some of them into fleshed out fanfics one day!
I think the thing that also intrigues me is the fact that a lot of people seem to enjoy the idea of bloodloathing but very little have executed it. That's mainly because I'm gonna be honest it's hard to do. Opposites attract and enemies to lovers with two very witty and intelligent people is extremely difficult to tackle especially with all the possiblities and character depth. This is not /neg it's just something I've observed because I'm up for the challenge 😎😎😎

Been reading the several-chaptered bloodloathing AU and I never thought a ship so so confusing (and terrible if thinking about it canonically) could be made so so ASTOUNDING. I spent 6 consistent hours reading it this morning by complete accident. Was I late to schoolwork? Yes. Do I regret it? Not in the slightest.
