I rediscovered @cubewatermelon‘s Kiwi Blitz comic that I read when I was 13 and reread the whole thing to where it is now in like two days. I love it a lot and I love Chandra’s design and her long arm gadget so I drew it!

Mr. Webcomics, after fully catching up with Endtown and archive-binging Poppy O'Possom, I've been considering what success a comic where all the characters have the same kind of cuteness and roundness of Kirby but also its a shounen-esque drama-adventure would have. Disregarding the influence of advertising and assuming the art and writing were of agreeable quality, how do you think such a comic would fare. Would the contrast prevent the story from going well?

I’m kind of a believer in the idea that they are no bad ideas, only bad executions. So yeah, if it’s good it’ll probably find some kind of audience. And there are lots of dramatic comics with round, cute characters that do well

And if you mean literally pink round orbs that go on massive adventures against dark eldritch monstrosities…

That’s kind of Kirby himself, isn’t it? Seems to work okay for him
