Suzie Wong gig, 20th October 2016 This new venue really lived up to its hype! Very intricate, chic and well designed with 1920s shanghai-esque vibes. I didn’t take more shots of the interior cause honestly my mind was occupied with the show but I will be performing here again next month so I’ll take more photos then! The building that it’s located in looks pretty rundown but the moment you enter SW, I felt like I entered a new dimension haha. The ratio from the outlook of wisma lim foo yong to suzie wong was like 1:4 🤔. Parking was relatively easy for me as I was there earlier for soundcheck. I think the only downside from that day was that their kitchen wasn’t ready so the band and I went out to find food. Was reaaally excited to try their food though cause I have a feeling it's gonna be bomb.com. So anyway, as for the gig, the sound was amazing for my vocals, I thought it was the best EQ I’ve heard for my voice amongst other venues but it was a little unbalanced for us as a band. As it was a weekday night, the crowd came in way later than planned so our first set was pushed back quite a bit. By the end of my second set, the venue was PACKED. It got so lively the moment it hit 10pm. A few of my close friends came too then we ended the night with some shisha and amaaazing arabian food at sawarbina :)
