This is probably the tallest mix I've ever built with its arms raised, at least. It's also giving Mixels Rush mix, but worh extra detail now that I look at it, lol. It's a simple one, but still a nice one!

MF Day #37: Gox

I really like Wave 5, it features a lot of interesting mixels with fun characters and designs, and are undeniably a great addition to the series. But with both this and the next wave only appearing in one 22-minute special, it unfortunately came at a cost of not having enough time to let the new mixels breathe and express themselves in animation. I know I’m probably expecting too much for what was a simple and limited series, but the show was able to let the characters from earlier waves have time to shine, and they were all very enjoyable. And I feel like the same could’ve been done with these other mixel characters if given the proper time.

Gox I feel like is a great example of this kind of missed potential, I really like his design and his personality. And him being the fonder of a dying company has an understandable motive of doing the wrong things for the right reasons. It could’ve been the making of an interesting character, but something about how they resolved this conflict and wrapped up his arc felt kind of rushed to me. It’s honestly a bit of a shame we didn’t get to see him grow in the show.
