Flashback Friday to one week ago, KM25 weekend! It was a crazy and memorable weekend shared with friends and family I have made over the years. This team, this family, has and continues to mean so much to me. I still remember first seeing Kaba Modern on YouTube back in 2005 thinking how it was so awesome seeing these dancers, specifically bboys doing choreography together. I never thought that later on in life I would end up dancing on this team, and even performing some of the pieces that even inspired me to dance in the first place. From supporting Kaba Modern on ABDC, to finding out they had a junior team, Kreative Movement, and joining that team back in 2009, and eventually making my dream come true to audition and join Kaba Modern in 2012. I have gone through some hella good times and bad times with this family. I have definitely shed blood, sweat, and tears with these people. To have all these people come back together and be all in the same place was truly amazing. I am happy I got to see a majority of my class again, Dubloves, and I still remember first meeting them and going through retreats, heaven weeks, and late nights at Crawford. Even dancing with the people I grew up dancing with on Kreative Movement took me way back. It's crazy to think KM20 was already 5 years ago when I was a newbie, and here I am now dancing with KM Legacy and still being inspired by the new generation of Kaba Modern. Always remember, we are a family committed to utilizing our passion for the art of dance to inspire and cross all boundaries within diverse communities through artistic expression, humility, and constant growth, and respect for all. #km25 #kabamodern #kmlegacy #kreativemovement #kabakids #family #dubloves #crawford #plumberfams #kmnurses
