day 172 yes i know i haven't finished the israel post
What did you do this morning? Oh not much just waited by the bus stop for 40 minutes in freezing weather because the bus schedule is damn unreliable.
But actually all that waiting was worth it because fencing was great. I thought for sure that I was going to lose my first match because my opponent was an adult, but I beat him 5-0 in 25 seconds. So we decided to go up to 10 and I won 10-7. I also tried reffing even though I can't (but I need practice I know). My second bout was against this really jumpy, aggressive, emotional guy whose touches are so light and stealthy, it's aggravating. I lost 3-5 (not bad especially up against him), and this one sneaky touch I did– when someone tries to get close to you but you duck and hit– made him groan so loudly. that sounded sexual
Oh and as for that especially cute guy whom I met by accident on facebook, I didn't get a chance to talk to him. He looked really lonely and I don't think he fenced much today, which made me feel bad because that happens to me a lot, when no one asks me to fence and I'm too shy to ask someone else.
There is a wedding reception in my lobby right now which was really awkward because they were setting it up as I was leaving with my huge-ass fencing bag and they returned from the church to the lobby when I was coming back.
I have a new viola teacher. She's quite nice but SO awkward and nervous– ironic because that's usually me.
