No need to worry
Momoi couldn’t quite explain what dragged her towardsKise. It just happened slowly, thanks the regained friendship between him andAomine and the consequential afternoons spent together. Maybe it’d been his cheerfulnessor his bubbling personality, or the way he always got enthusiastic about everythingshe said, listening attentively and never judging it stupid or superficial. Ormaybe it’d been his eyes when he was playing, feral and shining like gold. Ah,and there was also his swinging personality: if he respected you, it was themost caring, sweet excited guy; if he didn’t, coldness, apathy and sarcasm werewhat awaited you. Kise had revealed to be a lot more complex and mysterious ofwhat Momoi could have ever thought.
Obviously, it wasn’t always easy being with him, especiallygrowing up. He was simply stunning; girls flocked to him like thirsty animalsand even models raced to appear with him on the magazines. He was the prohibiteddesire of every woman had met his gaze or he had half-smiled at. Now, even ifMomoi had a good self-esteem, it didn’t mean she hadn’t been touched by this orshe had never felt unsure. Sometimes Kise could seem so…carefree. She just didn’twant to tie him down, to annoy him or to bore him; she knew he stuck up only withinteresting things. What if one day he didn’t find being with Momoi worthy anymore?
Thanks God, there was Kuroko. One time, when she wasrambling about her insecurities and half crying because she didn’t know how tocompete with all that beautiful, seductive women, he put his vanilla milkshakedown.
“Momoi-san,” he’ said blankly, “Have you ever analyzedhow Kise-kun look at them and how he look at you?” asked her, a faint shade of incredulityin his tone.
She was going to reply that well, yes but no. She wasmore worried about how them looked at him. But then she shut her mouth,understanding that was exactly the answer Kuroko expected.
“Give it a try.” He stated with a small smile, resumingeating his treat.
And that changed everything.
Momoi walked self-confidently towards the entrance of thestudios where Kise had his shots that afternoon for a surprise. She was hummingquietly, looking forward tight hugs and dreamy kisses from his boyfriend aftertwo whole weeks without seeing each other, when she individuated a mass ofscreeching girls.
She stopped midway and immediately individuated thegold hair of Kise. He was standing there, surrounded by other female models anda lot of fangirls; he had still his hair combed back and was wearing hisstylish casual clothes. He probably had just finished his job.
If it had been the old Momoi, she would have felt abit dejected or intimidated. Some of them were really cute and the modelsgorgeous. But now it didn’t affect her anymore, she had learnt to look properlyat things.
He recognized Kise cold, but polite glances while heautographed every note; the way his lips twitched in a quick smile to keep thefans satisfied; how his shoulders slouched a bit for the boredom. He was beautifuland fascinating as always, but in a forced, fake way that made Momoi stifle alaughter: how could she had not noticed it for years? Kise was completely disinterestedin them, he was just working.
And then, Momoi did that childish act that every timebrought her so much happiness and relief she could have never even imaginedbefore. She raised her hand high, smiling brightly and shouted loudly.
“Ryouta!” called in her thrilling, giddy voice andKise’s head immediately straightened up; it took him less than a second to findher.
His eyes filled with stars and he blossomed in ashiny, dazzling smile.
“Satsuki!” answered full of warmth, raising his handto greet her. Without even looking at the girls, he shoved them away from hispath with some muttered, random words of courtesy and walked towards hisgirlfriend. Midway, he started running and launched himself over Momoi, whoburst into laughter.
The sound of her name from his lips was the best thing.He called formally the people he didn’t considered or he didn’t like. He added –cchito the ones he respected. Momoi’s name was the only one she fully pronounced asitself, as she was his “Only, special girl.”
“Satsuki!”called again, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her up from theground to make her spin.
“Ryouta!Put me down!” she protested chuckling, arms around his neck.
He obeyed,caressing her with his soft gaze.
“Youhadn’t told me you were coming.” He whined with a pout, but she stood on hertiptoes and pecked him on the lips.
“Iwanted to surprise you!” she replied with a shrug and he widened his eyes,practically waging his imaginary tail at her.
“Such a loving girlfriend I have!” he laughed happily,kissing her forehead while cupping her cheeks.
“Doyou have just finished?” she asked covering his hands with her.
“Ahyes, we’re done. It was a good shot; they said I looked really hot today.”
“You’realways hot,” Momoi flirted with a grin, that he promptly returned.
“It’sbecause I was thinking about you.” He replied moving the hands on her waist andpulling her closer.
“Sucha bad guy!” she joked waiting for her kiss and he didn’t waste other words.
Ah,that was the dreamy kiss Momoi wanted. Fairytales-like.
Whenthey finally divided, Kise suddenly showed an excited expression and grabbed herhand.
“Thenlet’s go! I’ll take you out for dinner! My treat!” announced, pulling her downthe road.
“WaitKise, your colleagues…” she tried to stop, tailing him but he shrugged.
“Don’tworry, it’s not important.” He said disinterested, “There’s this amazing placeI want to show you! I bet you’re gonna love it, Satsuki!” resumed talking abouttheir date, turning his head to smile widely at her and Momoi giggled, feelingher heart filling with joy.
It didn’t matter anything else. Every time she wasunsure, she only needed to look at the loving gaze Kise reserved her and she couldforget all her worries.
idk why but I often read about aomine being the one that loves to sleep in the morning but i really love the idea that kagami is actually the lazy one in the morning
like, aomine would get up pretty early and jog a bit and when he’s back he finds kagami still sleeping over his part of bed too, so he takes a shower and prepares breakfast for both of them and then waked him up with kisses

Now, a pouting Akashi was adorable.
It was a worldwideknown fact that he was.
His usually polite smile melted in a tense line and hischeeks puffed up childishly; he stubbornly averted his gaze and crossed hisarms, shuffling his feet on the floor.
Actually, in any other occasion, Midorima would havegrinned and hugged him from behind, feigning exasperation at his cheekiness.
Not now.
Not when locked up in the airport police’s office.
“Please, Seijuurou, explain me again why we’re here.” Heasked, seated on an uncomfortable chair. They were shut in a small, blue roomwith only an intermittent light and a plastic table with two empty cups of coffee.Midorima fixed his gaze on the boy seated in front of him, still sulking, buthe continued to look at the table between them.
“I made a mistake.” He replied plainly, irritationwritten all-over his face.
“Saying you made only “one” it’s an euphemism.” Midorimahuffed, fixing his glasses. Good way to spend their special day.
Akashi immediately straightened his head and glared athim.
“I planned everything perfectly, Shintarou. It wasjust one mistake.” Repeated for the thousandth time in an hour. Midorima wantedto bang his head against the table. He was moved, truly moved by his intentionsbut…
“You decided to spend our first anniversary livingtogether in Paris, Seijuurou.” Reminded him coldly.
“It would have been romantic.”
“You planned everything secretly, on your own.”
“It was a surprise.”
“You kidnapped me from my lessons. No wait, you madeyour driver kidnap me from my lessons. In front of everyone.”
“I’m sure someone will lend you his notes.” As if thatwas the problem.
“You wanted to stay away for two weeks, in the mostexpensive hotel of Paris.”
“I like to do things properly.”
“And, on top of everything, you forgot to check if Ihad or not the passport. You brought me blindfolded at the airport and passedthe check-in leaving me with one of your men. Only then, when it was my turn topass, still blindfolded, you discovered that, in fact, I didn’t have one. Finally,panicking you illegally tried to climb over the fences again to reach me and,when blocked, had the courage to bribe the guards to let me pass withoutpassport.” Midorima summed up deadpanned, part of him still incapable to accepteverything that had happened.
At his words, Akashi grimaced and resumed looking atthe floor.
“A mistake, as I said.”
“Why do you have always to exaggerate?” Midorima huffedshaking his head. It should had been a quiet, normal and maybe a bit sweeterday. Not a stressing chain of absurd events that led them to be locked up bythe police.
“I wanted to do something special.” The red-hairedexplained quietly and that was true, Midorima knew.
“What have we said when we started our relationshipabout gifts, anniversaries and special occasions?” The other, however, didn’tflinch and continued with his lecture.
“Have we to talk about it now?” Akashi burst, finallylosing his composure and already eaten by his guilt.
“We wouldn’t be having this conversation if you hadjust listened.” Midorima reprimanded him, rolling his eyes.
His boyfriend huffed and muttered something under hisbreath.
“What have we said?” asked again Midorima, strict asalways.
“To not overdue, to not spend excessive amounts ofmoney and to think like normal, moderate people.” Akashi whispered begrudgingly.He was rich, alright? He wanted to dote on the boy he loved, he wanted to spendeverything for him.
Nonetheless, the truth was that he felt really sorryabout the whole thing. He knew he should have restrained himself. He knew heshould have explained to Midorima his plan, because the hated being unpreparedor confused. He knew he should have reacted in a different way when they hadsaid Midorima couldn’t come with him. It was common sense that bribing was theworst solution (at least in public) but he had…lost it? He didn’t even know howto justify himself. The plane was departing. He had planned that journey forweeks. He and Midorima had been really busy lately and hadn’t been with eachother properly for some time. He was just looking forward so much too it…
Akashi sighed deeply. He hated to mess up and latelyhe was doing it a lot. Only three days ago, he broke the washing machine tryingto do the laundry by himself. Sometimes, he got scared that Midorima could cometo hate this pathetic and imperfect Akashi. It was stupid, he knew becauseMidorima always repeated that he already knew Akashi was human and it was okay,but maybe he was only reflecting his worries on him.
“Well, now we can’t do anything about it, pleaseremember this for the next time,” Midorima concluded, finally relaxing his shoulders.He could see what Akashi was thinking and, now that he had realized his mistakes,he could easily forgive him.
“I apologize for my behavior.” Akashi added softly,but the faint smile on Midorima reassured him a bit. He felt his frustration lightening.
“So, for our anniversary,” Midorima begun to say andAkashi tilted his head curiously, haven’t he ruined everything already?, “Wecould go out for dinner tonight, after they release us, and…take the next weekoff to go to the onsen.” Proposed, a slight blush on his cheeks.
At his offer, Akashi blinked. Once, twice.
“You’re not the only one who wanted to spend some timetogether. I had already planned to ask you tonight.” Midorima specified fixinghis glasses, embarrassed in front of his incredulous stare.
Akashi brightened up, literally beaming, and showedhim a shiny, charming, prince-like smile. Without caring about possibleofficers coming in, he stood up and reached Midorima, who had reluctantlyopened his arms and waited for him stiffly. He seated on his laps and huggedhim tightly.
“I like this idea, we’ve never be to an onsen togetherShintarou.” He mused softly, nuzzling against his neck.
“I knew, that’s why please, next time let’s decidewhat to do together, okay?” prayed, trying to be severe, but his voice wasalready sweeter than usual.
“I’ll try. We could go to Europe during the summerholiday.”
“Seijuurou.”
“Well, maybe.”
“Thank you.” Midorima replied tiredly, but with asmirk on his lips.
“Thank to you, for having saved our first anniversary together.”Akashi smiled earnestly at him, “Not that I care, right now. I believe that ifwe can spend some time together, everywhere is fine.”
“Why didn’t you think about that before?”
“Shintarou.” Akashi threatened with a pout.
“Joking,” he defended himself, giving him a little, blushingpeck on the cheek, “For me it’s the same.” Added averting his eyes and Akashi chuckledsatisfied.
“About tonight,” the former emperor asked.
“Yes?”
“Can I choose the restaurant?”
“No.”

Platonic but with underlying romance. :)

Akashi had already noticed it during the Winter Cup.
When he was looking at Midorima playing together withTakao, a grip tightened around his heart and he felt…angry? Sad? He didn’tknow, it was a new emotion to him and he couldn’t recognize it. However, it wasunpleasant.
When they had showed him their new pass, during thematch, he had felt something aching in his heart. He didn’t have wanted to win anymore,he had wanted to crush them. A devouring, evil filled feeling had drown him andhe had lost his ability to think reasonably.
The return to his original-self had helped him dissipatingthis monster and clearing his head a bit, but the sense of uneasiness remainedinto him. Rooted.
They were playing basketball together that afternoon,the former Generation of Miracles and some of their new teammates together. Itwas just an abandoned court in a deserted park, but for them if there was aball it was enough. They were having small three-on-threes, just goofing aroundand fueling their already competitive selves.
Akashi had taken a break and was seated at the border,drinking water from a bottle Momoi had kindly brought him. His red eyes were focusedon the match in front of him. Midorima, Takao and Teppei against Kise, Kasamatsuand Kagami.
Every single time Takao passed the ball to Midorima, asting hit his heart and his lips twitched.
Was it guilt? Maybe seeing how well they were playingtogether he was regretting how he treated him during middle school even if theywere friends. Because they were friends, right? At this thought, he felt painagain. No, no… there was something more. He felt restless looking at them; hecouldn’t stop thinking that his own passes would have been better for Midorima.He knew Midorima better, he played with him better. So, why was he playing likethat with Takao? He seemed to…enjoy himself.
Akashi sighed deeply, resting his head against theknees. He didn’t understand his own train of thoughts, what was wrong withhimself? Being blunt, he knew that after all it was his fault. He was the onewho had become a dictator instead of a trustworthy playmaker. He was the onewho had cut their bonds and destroyed them. He was the one had been unable toconnect with them. What did he expected? That everything were just going toturn out the way he wanted? Well, yes he had believed it, but only because hehadn’t still learnt that he could fail too, that he wasn’t perfect and invincibleas he’d believed. Now he knew and it sucked.
Or maybe it was the way Takao could manage being comfortableand touchy with Midorima. Was he jealous of their friendship because he’d neverbeen able to be that intimate with him? Because he had never had that type ofplayful and easy relationship with anyone? Was he feeling lonely? But then whyit was only with Midorima? He wasn’t bothered by Kuroko and Kagami. Maybe,again, it was because he had been Midorima’s friend but not like that, and nowhe was regretting it. Or not? He didn’t know anymore.
“Akashi, is everything alright?” Akashi blinked at thevoice, considering if he had gone mad another time or what, but raising his eyes,he found Midorima in front of him. He was so caught up in himself he hadn’teven noticed the guys had finished the match.
“Just a bit tired, Midorima.” Answered politely,swallowing his exasperated confusion and showing a faint smile.
“You shouldn’t stay under the sun if you don’t feelwell.” Midorima observed fixing his glasses, sweat running down his skin.
“Maybe I’m going to move under the shade, then.” Akashicomplied quietly, trying to stand up. Only in that moment, it hit him thatmaybe Midorima was really right and he had spent too much time under the sun,because he staggered and the other boy had to catch him by the arm to preventhim from falling.
“Thank you.” He muttered, a turmoil burst in his headfeeling Midorima’s fingers touching his bare skin.
“Are you alright?” Midorima was now worried for realand didn’t let him go.
“I am, or at least I think.” Akashi replied. A lie. Hewas so confused about his thoughts, feelings and emotions he wasn’t able tothink clearly. Maybe he was getting sick and those were just the symptoms.
Midorima growled, annoyed by his stupid habit ofalways faking to be okay, to not rely on anyone.
“Is the Emperor alright?” Takao appeared suddenly formbehind Midorima and leaned playfully against his friend’s shoulder, tilting hishead curiously towards the red-haired boy.
Akashi, at the sight, shuddered without motives andfelt his throat closing. He had to besick.
“He’s not.” Midorima cut him before he could lieagain, “I’m going to bring him to the bench under that tree and then I’ll comeback.” he explained, passing an arm around his waist and putting Akashi’s oneon his own shoulders; the boy tried to protest, but he shut him with a glareand began walking.
“I’m sorry to bother you.” Finally, Akashi admitted,feeling humiliated about being seen that weak.
“It bothers me more that you always lie, even when it’sclear you aren’t fine. You always have to do everything by yourself, don’t you?”the accusation in his words sank in Akashi like a sharp knife and he kept quietuntil they reached the bench.
Midorima was right, completely right. It was his fault.Then why he couldn’t accept it?
“Midorima,” Akashi didn’t even realize he was reallytalking, while the other helped him to seat on the bench and straightened, “Areyou free this week? I would like to play chess with you again.” He offered witha timid, unsure smile while cursing himself internally.
Midorima stopped, widening his eyes a bit, and lookedat the other boy who stared at him with a sort of uneasiness in his red eyesfrom below. He had forgotten those human, expressive sides of Akashi, whoreally seemed to look forward his answer. However, he felt lost. It was sudden.It seemed a too important and at the same time completely trivial question. Midorimafelt both uneasy and excited by the offer. After all that time, he still didn’tknow why he couldn’t cut his ties with Akashi. What he truly wanted from him.
“This week I have to train with Takao,” replied in theend, fixing his glasses nervously and Akashi’s heart sank withering, “But in theweekend I can spare some time to come and play with you.” He added before turningstiffly and walking toward the group, where Takao was gesturing him to come.
Akashi should have been happy, looking at his backwalking away, to have received an opportunity. He knew he didn’t deserved itand yet he’d said yes, he’d given him the chance to start again. But his mindwas filled with only one, unexplainable, throbbing thought that ate all thefaint relief.

Hoping that you’re talking about Midorima and Akashifrom KnB, I have to agree with you. From the start, they are shown sharing astrong yet complex bond. They were captain and vice-captain, they are seenwalking around together, sharing responsibilities as well as hobbies, going tomeeting and playing shoji… they’re probable the most compatible couple:interests, personalities, ways of thinking; even as players they work welltogether and maybe it’s one of the most important points. Yet, at the base oftheir trust and mutual respect, there’s a deep, rooted rivalry. Midorima alwaystries to challenge Akashi in everything (without winning): grades, shoji,chess, basketball…They’re both really proud and they want to be on the samelevel, especially Midorima who, I believe, must feel annoyed and a bit dejectedto not be able to reach him. Even if, I have to highlight, this doesn’t actuallybother Akashi: first because he thinks nobody can beat him so it’sunderstandable; secondly, because he enjoys Midorima’s tenacity and his companyboth, he doesn’t care about the outcome.
When Akashi gets “crazy”, Midorima is the only onetogether with Kuroko to notice and understand the problem of the double Akashi;however, he doesn’t do anything relevant: he can’t. I believe in some ways he hasalways regretted not being able to help him, letting him cut all the ties withthem, and that’s why during the finals he wants to win so badly: he hopes thatknocking down the Emperor from his pedestal could make the old Akashi return.The one with whom he played, had quiet talks, managed a noisy and boisterousteam…The one he admired and admires the most.
Their relationship is bittersweet, with a lot ofunresolved things in between them and a natural trust they have to build again.I believe the Vorpal Swords, where we can see them working together again andbelieving in each other, is the first step to develop fully what alwayslingered between them.
Some lighthearted, living-together head canons foryou:
They’re the quiet, polite couple. They enjoy silencebetween them and relaxed afternoons in their shared apartment. However, whenplaying shoji, chess, or literally everything else, they tend to became heated upand competitive. Aomine has damn sworn that he’s never gonna play Mario Kart with them again. Never.
At first, as boyfriends, they were really tense: Akashiwere too much of a gentleman, Midorima too stiff and embarrassed. The red hairwarmed up pretty fast, in a sort of demanding way due to his unconsciouslyspoiled nature; for our green pointer was all a different matter. Heliterally froze for the slightest skinship, blushing like crazy. (He evenstudied magazine and shoujo manga to overcome his stiffness).
Akashi loves messing up with Midorima, teasing andembarrassing him in the most unexpected moments. A peck on the lips whilethey’re reading next to each other, a caress while Midorima is cooking, a hugfrom behind, licking his lips while looking straight in his eyes, just suddenlyplopping on his lap without a word or expressing his love bluntly. Even afteryears, Midorima still has the best reactions.
Akashi wanted a dog, an obedient cute doggie andbribed Midorima a whole year to gain his permission to buy one. Unfortunately,his lovely Empress seems to like Midorima more than him.
Akashi finds really cute Midorima’s obsession withlucky items; so, when he has to wake up earlier than him, he checks which one isthe item of the day and buys it for him before Midorima is awake, placing it on thekitchen’s table together with a sweet homemade breakfast.
Since they both play instruments, sometimes they have smalldaily concert in the living room, for their own enjoyment: Akashi plays theviolin and Midorima the piano (a gift from his boyfriend).
When they fight, there aren’t angry shoutsor screams: they fall in a hostile silence filled with politefreezing smiles/irritated grunts and in a cold, childish war to annoy eachother. Midorima puts in all the dishes the seaweeds Akashican’t stand, bribes their dog to obey only to him, refuses to do the laundry…Akashimesses with the order of his books, hides all his lucky items, plays the violinat three in the morning… Since they’re both really proud, their arguments canlast more than a week: at this point Kuroko usually intervenes and knocks somesense into them.
First argument? Akashi wanted a Japaneseancient house to live in, with a park where to ride his lovely horse (Yes, he loveshorse riding). Midorima refused and pushed for a normal apartment, saying thathe was being childish and unreasonable. The result was that they didn’t talkfor two weeks; Kuroko had to bribe Murasakibara so that he literally picked upthe two of them by force and put them in a room that Kuroko locked for thewhole night.
Akashi likes the effect that Takao has on hisboyfriend, but becomes particularly scary when he’s being too touchy. AndAkashi considers even a pat on the back as “too touchy” when talking about his proprieties.(Takao loves messing with this dorky couple, because most of the time Shin-chandoesn’t realize how much jealous Akashi can be)
Midorima sometimes is astonished by how rich andspoiled Akashi can be. And difficult to deal with.
“Shintarou, are you telling me that crystal glassesare not needed in our apartment?” “Please, just buy the normal ones Akashi.”
“Could you please explain me again how those…instantnoodles work?” “For the third time, you just have to put them in the microwave.Stop looking at them as if they’ve offended your existence.”
“You didn’t have a personal library at your house?” “Stoplooking at me with pity.”
“Are you sure you don’t want a horse as a gift for yourbirthday? We could have romantic ridings Shintarou…” “Absolutely positive. I’llbe happy with a normal date.” “Fine.
