Harley Race was made to appear merciless and unbeatable in most matches, as in the case of poor Alan Martin here. These beat-downs caused us to worry that Race might later tear apart our handsome young favorites like Steamboat, the von Erich boys, or that hunky Curt Hennig. However, Race would faithfully put over those young Up-and-Comers, demonstrating their potential for greatness by being over-powered and subdued by them.
But Alan Martin will not receive the star treatment. In this jobber squash, Race's dickhead heel skills are on full display as he absolutely owns the wimp. Check out those Big Fat Knee Drops to the kid's skull, and plenty of Body Throws and Suplexes performed expertly by the veteran. Very pretty and satisfying to watch!
