A very familiar face stood in the distance, Namine approached him smiling cheerfully but stopped just short. My did he seem younger, at least younger than she had grown used to him. Even behind his blindfold she could see Riku aging and growing, but now he looked as if he had just stepped out of Castle Oblivion, well with a few more pleasant changes.
“Riku, it’s so nice to see you.”
Namine always one for physical connections gave him a very quick and gentle hug, pulling back with a bright smile.The blonde took note of the small bat creature near him, seeming very similar to the little sheep ball still following her.
“Yes, it’s me. I’m not really sure why or how I got here but...it’s so nice to see someone I recognize. Though I wasn’t completely lonely.” She gestured to the tama sheep. “This litle guy has been following me ever since I walked past it. I’m not really sure why, or even what it is. All I know is it realy likes to be pet.”
To demonstrate this she once again stroked it’s soft wooly body, the sheep bleating happily and closing it’s eyes in a smile.

Ven gnawed on his lip and worried if this was even going to be something Riku wanted- who wanted a naggy partner, after all? -but he’d spent way too much time on it to really back out now. That and he was... not a back-up plan person.
“Merry Christmas, Riku.” He explained softly, placing a golden locket into outstretched palms and clicking it open. It was a bit blurry, hazy, since already low-quality gummi ship communicator holograms did not look any better downscaled, but it was unmistakably Ven by the awkward throat clearing followed by a soft, “I-I’s this on? Recording? shit.” that made Ven cringe.
“Riku, I know you’ve been gone awhile, but... It still... Ugh, I-I really should have... written all this down or something, but- but- um... L-look it doesn’t matter how long you’re gone. You... You feel amazing. Not just the hugs n’ kisses and all that like just... you. Here. With me. You- you- gah! You give me somewhere stable, Riku. I-I don’t. Even with Terra and Aqua I don’t feel this stable. I-I-I don’t... feel... alone. There’s so much of me I don’t know and so many people who’ve left me behind, and even when most people would give up and leave you, I waited for you, and... you didn’t let me down. You never have. When the message flickered to a close, he reached down the front of his shirt and pulled out a second, bright silver and perched carefully between two fingers. He gently waved it back and forth and muttered, “W-we gotta record yours and re-record mine...”
