WIP
My BFF recently bought and read the entire InCryptid series by @seananmcguire. She was going through a tough time and kept sending me the books so she could talk about them with me; she clearly found them very comforting.
At the fifth book, she got out her yarn and needles, and by the time she finished the series, she’d knit herself a small colony of Aeslin mice. She sent the last books along for me to read, along with one of the mice.

She also included a little notecard with a slogan on it, though I’m not sure if the slogan refers to anything in the books or just refers to a conversation we’d been having, about found families (I’ve been more available for her than her blood family, for a variety of reasons, so). (I haven’t read all the books yet, but I know enough to know who the Aeslin mice are.)
