Thank you, both of you. Thankfully, aside from one more saying my pathetic attempt at social commentary was whiny and didn’t belong there, it seems like the reach of the person who bookmarked my fic with the intent to shame me has run its course. Might still get more, but the barrage seems to be over.

I’ve reported it, so I’m not sure about deleting the comments until I’ve heard back from AO3. And since all but one of the commenters was anon, I can’t really block them, though I could turn off the anon comments if it keeps going. I don’t want to resort to that unless I have to though, because there are also a lot of good anons who may not be comfortable in using their identity to talk to me on this fic. I can’t say I wasn’t expecting people to eventually come out of the woodwork on this fic. It seems more like people who aren’t even in the fandom are the ones complaining about it clogging up the tags, so there’s that.
This wave at least seems to be done with for now. Maybe the break won’t last, thank you for the messages.
