Flighty,let me run a fic idea by you. It is sort of inspired by this Darcy/Steve fic I got rid of, where I'm thinking of doing the Barbershop Quartet. Sam goes on a mission with Steve, Bucky, and Nat , gets hit in his head, loses his memory up to after losing Riley and the Battle of Manhattan. When he wakes up he's kinda in shock that he shares a house with Captain America, The Black Widow, and Bucky Barnes. And each one of them is so sweet and close to him (no "Oh Poor Bucky!" cause everyone 1
2 has their own problems too, and Sam has been there for them while he is also working through his. And with the way they treat him, he thinks that all of them are a couple before the accident. And the things is they were actually going to tell Sam after the last mission about how they feel. but they don’t know how to do it now. While they are angsting away, Sam is still looking at them thinking how he got so lucky to have three special people to spend his life with.
it kind of reminds me of that one amnesia story with the guy and his wife. Like Sam waking up like “You’re all so hot. Who are you? You’re my boyfriend? You’re also my boyfriend? And you’re my girlfriend?! Holy shit, I hit the jackpot!”
