Love this #Repost from @thelaceeater 💕 ・・・ River Road is now available in my Ravelry store (link in profile) I I used 4 colours - 2 Yarns by Kiwi dyers (@vintage_purls - green; and @darkharbouryarn - mustard), one Aussie yarn (@skeinyarn - grey), and a purple multi - krauterbeet by @rohrspatzundwollmeise ) I’ve had the purple multi for years and noticed how well it went with mustard and grey. I had just cast on when two skeins of the green arrived on my doorstep. To hell with socks I thought, noticing how well the green went with Krauterbeet. Synaptic Wrap

I’m excited for knitters to make a Synaptic Wrap for themselves, to see how cables weave across the width and run along the sides, to find that a centered double decrease on the wrong side is not so hard, to finish and hear a quiet voice say “yer a wizard now.”

Firmament Wrap

Firmament Wrap is now on Ravelry! It's a wonderfully cozy project for cooler weather. The design is inspired by truly breath­taking images from the James Webb Space Telescope.

In my interpretation, familiar increases and decreases produce impressive results. Swaths of deep lacy space are thick with stars. Clusters of roiling garter stitch suns and mesh chromospheres crowd together. Asteroid belts keep the cosmos nice and orderly.

My wider, republished Synaptic Wrap is now on Ravelry!

I could write about how my design was inspired by a stitch that might be 200 years old. I could say again that this wider 15 in / 38 cm design is a better wrap. But, the best thing I can include is a knitter’s comment from earlier today:
