It’s been less than a week since I started this back panel and I’m almost to the underarm. It’s relaxing to follow a cable chart instead of counting rows. 😎

Hallgrim Scarf
A knitting friend recently visited Tucson and stopped at Birdhouse Yarns. While there, she held up the tag of a shop sample she liked and took this photo.
Unbeknownst to her, it's my Hallgrim Scarf! It even looks like one of the KAL projects at Birdhouse Yarns that I reposted in March 2021.
I'm still grinning at seeing my Hallgrim Scarf on display five years later (thanks, Birdhouse!) and learning that it caught my friend's eye without knowing I'm the designer.
By the way, the pattern is still just $7.00 on Ravelry and LoveCrafts.

✨Proud make moment! ♥️ For the launch of our new Grange Aran yarn, tomorrow, I thought I would show y’all a bit of a preview of this yarn in action! I knit the #verdea by @mishi2x in the 🧶colorway: “Salted Pearl”, and I just couldn’t be happier! ✨I loved every stitch, BUT, obviously the cables are my favorite! I mean- Hello stitch definition! It’s still a bit chilly in our neck of the woods here in PA, but I can easily use this as a layering piece to function as a jacket, to keep off the brisk morning air. ✨I loved working with this yarn SO much, that I dropped everything and immediately swatched for a new sweater design! ✨Grange Aran is dropping on the website tomorrow at 12 PM EST, in our 20 new solid colors, and we will also have Salted Pearl in our offerings for those of you who want to knit one of these gorgeous cardigans of your very own. Grange Aran comes in 115 g (140 yds) skeins and 250 g (300 yd) skeins, so it is perfect for any heavy Worsted or Aran weight project. ♥️see ya tomorrow for the launch! #primroseyarnco #cableknitting #cableknit #cableknitsweater #knitting #knit #knitspiration #knittingpattern #handknitsweater #handmadewardrobe #memade (at Primrose Yarn Co.) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqGDRH6rOnE/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I finished the right front panel on my #DeepWinterCoat by @wool.and.pine.designs and started the left front panel! I’ve always wanted a hat that has the fluffy halo effect which I chose for this project. I was gifted this yarn by a friend and I’m grateful because she has kept me expressing my passion for knitting. I loved every moment of knitting the hat from the yarns I chose, the chart which wasn’t daunting and the cabling without a cable needle that added speed.

The joy of “layering season”—wearing my new Huaraz Hat (pattern by Kirsten Kapur/Through the Loops) and my Chelsea Girl Shawl (pattern by me, available on Etsy or Ravelry).
Teaching myself how to cable knit has resulted in some cabled arm warmers! I was able to slightly modify this pattern from The Snugglery, and I think they turned out great!!
So you've got the cable knitting bug and now you can't stop! I've been there. And these chunky cable knit fingerless gloves were some of the
