I Love Yarn Day
You know, this is the first comic I've made with Wunderland characters. I didn't really feel like doing a background.
I Love Yarn Day is October 12. I love to knit and crochet. The first thing I ever knitted was an infinity scarf/cowl using circular needles. I wear it every winter. It is very therapeutic to sit with your needles and yarn and just make something, even if it's an i-cord.

Today the world is Bear-able
Roomie: *knitting baby booties using size 1* Doing this is a pain.
Me: Ah.
Me:
Me: Does that mean you need-le a break?
Roomie: *stops, stares*
Me: *shit-eating grin*
So I went to Wal-Mart with roommate @sunflowerkittycrafts because she needed knitting needles, but they didn’t have much of a selection. She ended up picking out US size 3 (3.125 mm) double-ended needles. When I asked what she was making, she told me baby booties, which explained the tiny size she needed.
So I say, “I guess the size needle you use DPNs on the project!”
I earned that high-five, dammit.
An unassuming-looking box starts to make a rather suspect clinking sound.
Removing the lid reveals...
a very sorry looking (and smelling) sight. Soft whimpering noises can be heard as light strikes the figure within.
Shame on philosophykitten for allowing Clint to smuggle all that alcohol into his box! (Just kidding!)

Just in case anyone is concerned about the state of my health, I really don’t drink very often. However, the local drunks don’t appear to know what a bin is so bottles can be sourced quite easily.
Went out for dinner with the PA and some mates. Had chicken. Made a baby laugh. I still got the Red Heart Comfort Touch, yo. See what I did there?
So my roommate and i were being dorks tonight and somehow ended up making lotr knitting puns. We've now planned out a series of pictures that include Gandalf with a crochet hook as a staff, Gandalf with his crochet hook staff and a knitting needle sword fighting the Balrog (now dubbed the Balknot), and Gandalf just dramatically reading you the pattern like "YOU SHALL KNIT 2 PSSO, etc. This is what happens when two knitting dorks live in the same apartment. It's a shame neither of us can actually draw.
