Finally, my useless garbage knowledge comes in handy aslkdfj he looks like that cause he’s a whole ass hot mess. Like, moreso than before. Basically after the time jump we find out he had best selling book (based on his life and the lives of those around him, I think they compared it to the outsiders? but don’t quote me, they say a lot of things on this show) and he was like, highly sought after because of this book or whatever but now he has writer’s block and he can’t produce anything new so he’s pretty much a hasbeen at like. 20something. also he has “debt collectors” after him cause he’s like close to ten thousand dollars in debt, but they got big loan shark vibes. Also he’s got a bunch of tattoos, including, but not limited to, a giant ass chest tattoo that like. i haven’t seen it clearly, i tend to look away when he takes his shirt off cause it’s still c*le at the end of the day, but I think someone pointed out in the tags that it resembles his infamous comic book hat with roses or some other kind of flowers sticking out of it :)))
and he’s an english teacher at riverdale high now while moonlighting as a waiter at Pop’s to start paying down some of his debt. so it’s less “father of two” vibes and more “hot mess gay english teacher” vibes
