Smash or Pass (invasion of privacy edition).

Saiki accidentally catches (or rather, hears) a glimpse of your mind while walking pass you.

(Another description would be is that you play smash or pass in your mind. )

‘Eh… pass, would’ve been smash if only he had a better hairstyle.’

‘Smash. Definitely smash. Pass, cute but not cute enough. Pass, pass, pass. Damn, are there even any good looking guy here?’

What..?

‘Oh wait, over there. Smash, but dangerously close to pass.’

Stopping dead in his tracks, he looks around and sees no one, at least no one that seems to be thinking about such things. It’s not like he recognizes the voice, so he can’t just put a face to the voice that’s been intruding his mind with the words ‘smash or pass’.

‘Oh, holy shit! Who’s this cute babe with pink hair!? He’s totally my type, what the fuck, smash. Like, ‘till the sun goes up!’

‘Huh!?’ His eyes widened in surprise at her new thought, is she talking about him?

‘I’ve never seen him around though, is he a new student?’ Locking eyes with you he now realizes that the girl on the bench drinking from some juicebox in peace is the one he’s been looking for.

You swiftly turn your head away, breaking eye contact. ‘Did I say that out loud!? No way that after I said that he looked at me, is he some kind of mind reader?’

Looking down on the floor in front of you like it’s the most interesting thing you’ve ever seen in your life, you continue to entertain the thought of him being a mind reader. ‘Cough if you can read my mind.’

Are you stupid? Or do you think he’s stupid? No respectable mind reader would ever out themselves like that!

‘No takers? Damn, I really thought that would work.’ Okay, so you’re the stupid one. After that he decides you aren’t worth his time, it’s only a stupid game anyways.

As he walks away, you take another small glance at his way. Pink, and weird little head thingys. Cute.

The things you and Saiki do that makes people think you’re together.

Sharing food doesn’t come easy to Saiki. He’s a selfish guy—at least he says he is— especially when it comes to his coffee jelly, but when it comes to you? A simple palm laid out in front of him and he’d give you anything. (Others can try the same trick but it’ll only lead to a blank stare from him.)

He claims to hate attention and would rather stay in the background but the moment you give him an inch of attention—“Oh, I like your hair today, it’s extra pink.”—he’s on cloud nine. And for the record, his hair wasn’t extra pink, you just wanted to compliment him.

Even though he doesn’t talk much, you’re still all smiles around him, much more than usual with other people.

The two of you had wildly different taste in music back when you and him first met but now your mutual friends are noticing traces of influence from each other on the way you two liked your music.

You and Saiki seem to gravitate towards each other, you'd be on the other side of the room and the next second you're next to eachother and vice versa.

He knows what everybody thinks, he just isn’t in a rush to prove anyone wrong anytime soon.

The little things that made him realize that he has feelings for you.

One day you came over unannounced and he didn’t feel any annoyance at all, in fact he was happy about it. He hasn’t been in a long time when it came to you.

You lost your favorite keychain and he goes out of his way to find it for you regardless of not asking him to do so.

When you and him fell into a routine of helping each other (mostly him helping you) with homework.

You called him your ‘best friend’ for what seemed like the umpteenth time and he found that he didn’t mind the title anymore, if anything he felt proud to be called your best friend.

When he took you to Café Mami despite him gatekeeping it from his friends.

You once asked him what the little ‘clips’ on his head were for and why he wore them but he brushed the question off so you didn’t ask again, but one day when you and him were sharing a cup of coffee jelly he told you.

“Remember when you asked me about the things on my head?”

I’ve got something cooking up but idk if it’ll be good, i might just serve a burnt x reader… but for now i’ll leave this here. Also, criticism is welcomed.

Saiki calls you by anything but your name. You don’t know if he does it on purpose or if he just doesn’t know he does it. “You,” “Girl,” and “Aiura’s friend,” are some of the examples of the things he calls you.

Now, even though the two of you are in a relationship he still doesn’t call you by your name. He just uses “love” to address you.

CAN’T TAKE MY EYES OFF OF YOU.

Yandere!Saiki does a few concerning things regarding you.

A/N: ‘Yare yare' means Saikis or readers thoughts.

It took him a little while to come to terms with the fact that he was in love with you, but the moment he did it was like a switch turned on in his brain.

He couldn’t get you out of his mind; he’d do anything to make you happy.

The small meow of a cat catches your attention amidst the loud pitter and patter of the rain. “Meow!”

Halting in your steps to turn around, you peer into an alleyway, and there sits a white cat with green glasses— how is that even possible?— drenched in rain, looking up at you.

“Meow!” It says again, as if it was talking to you.

“Aww!” Crouching down, you place your umbrella in between your neck and shoulder to take hold of him.

Surprisingly, he does nothing to make you put him down, usually when you pick up strays they do everything in their will to make you let go of them.

“Aren’t you a cute one?” You ask the cat— in that stupid little voice that parents use on their babies, and it just looks at you; a smile finds its place on your face.

You forget just how easily animals can make you lose any unpleasant feelings, earlier you were just upset about the bakery not having your favorite in stock and now you’re smiling wide, holding a cat.

Already making up your mind to take it home— just to give it shelter until the rain stops— you stand up. “It must be so hard to be out in the rain like this!”

‘You’re just too good to be true.’ He thought to himself.

“Class, we’ll be having a quiz this week on friday, be prepared—“ Everything after that you tuned out, too busy thinking about the stacking list of things to do.

‘She really does know no bounds!’ You groaned internally, ‘It’s one thing after another with her!’

With a sigh you sit a little bit straighter in your chair, trying to at least look like you were listening.

The world has it out for you, you think, because not only is your schedule getting tighter, you also recently started feeling uneasy and uncomfortable in your classroom.

You swear, someone is looking at you! You try to tell your friends but they laugh it off saying that you’re going paranoid because of stress and usually you’d laugh with them too!

“No, you guys don’t get it!” You defend yourself, shaking your head profusely, “It’s like every time I step inside that classroom a pair of eyes just lock on me!”

But this just feels too real to be just a figment of your imagination.

Unbeknownst to you on the other side of your classroom lies a pair of pale purple eyes solely focused on you. ‘Can’t take my eyes off of you.’

The next day, you get the good news of your teacher canceling the quiz and her other activities— delivered by a substitute teacher, your actual teacher got sick.

I got sick and tired of my usual, monotonous theme so i thought i’d change it up.

CHARM BRACELET.

The charms on your charm bracelet from your boyfriend, Kusuo Saiki.

Your charm bracelet from Saiki:

A herringbone chain, no reason why, he just thought it was pretty— like you.

A coffee jelly charm, duh. It’s to remind you of him, but he won’t say that outloud.

Half a heart that says “Friends” charm, he has the other half that says “Best”. He got it for you because before you and him became a couple you used to joke that you would buy him one because you guys are the ‘best of friends’.

A golden Yen sign charm. Once, you saw him with his 100-Yen Men glasses accidentally and you bursted out laughing. But you soon apologized because there was a slight pout on his lips.

Two game controller charms, one pink, like his hair and the other in your favourite colour.

Seems like the gods have finally decided to smile upon you, it’s one lucky thing after another. First, you’re in the same group as him, and then now you’ve been both assigned to make the graves!?

“So..” You start, looking at him for any sign of reciprocity for conversation. There’s none, oh well. “How should we do this?” You ask, and he just stares at you.

“Uhm..” You stare back and his face gets progressively more confused.

…

“Well, uhm..” Taking your eyes away from him and onto the materials laid out on the floor you start thinking of what you could do.

“We can make a mix of curved and rectangular graves.” You say, not waiting for his approval— he probably won’t answer again— as you grab the pencil to sketch the grave on the cardboard.

You feel his eyes on you the whole time, if he had super laser eyes there’d probably be a hole in the back of your head.

Shifting uncomfortably under his eyes you stop sketching for a little bit, “Aren’t you going to help..?” Wordlessly, he starts sketching by your side too.

Is he just not going to talk to you the whole time?

After a few minutes, Chiyo checks up on the both of you. “How are things going with you guys?”

Before you could even say anything she was already nodding and saying good job on the progress, like she was holding some kind of conversation with Saiki.

The fuck?

Are you missing a memo here or does Saiki and Chiyo have some kind of deeper understanding?

Are they, like, together..?

The walk back home is filled with thoughts about Saiki’s and Chiyo’s relationship, you can’t help but think that they’re together.

‘If they’re together, how come Chiyo didn’t pair themselves together??’ You ask yourself, “Maybe they’re keeping it lowkey.’ Another thought supplied.

With a sigh you decide to take a left instead of your usual right to go back home, maybe a treat could get you out of your own head. ‘Café Mami it is.’

“You think they’re dating?” The whisper of a girl piqued your interest while walking past her. Who’s dating who? “Yeah, I mean when has Teruhashi been this close to a guy before?” Teruhashi?

You walk up behind them to try and get a peek of what they’re looking at.

It’s Teruhashi and Saiki, they’re eating lunch together and with a simple smile on her face.

The day after you saw him with Teruhashi you see a girl with a bob cut and a pink bow in her hair with him.

A bright smile can be seen on her face as she talks while walking beside him, Saiki on the other hand had a deadpanned expression, like he does everyday.

The next time you see him he’s with a different girl. You recognize her, last year she had transferred to this school claiming she has psychic powers and can tell the future— her reason for transferring here was that her crystal ball (it has a bunch of stickers slapped on it, how can she even see the things that psychic ball shows?) had told her that her soulmate would be found in this school.

You wonder if she’s found him yet.

The answer to your question was three. Exactly three other girls before you and him would finally be together— kind of.

Idk if this kind of format works so please tell me if I can do anything to make it better or if it’s confusing.

Also im so sorry for putting this out so late after the first post, school has been a bitch lately ☹️
