She texts Rin about this. She texts Uncle Osamu. She even texts Uncle Omi, though she knows he’s probably busy with the twins.
Why are we playing Niiyama already?!
This is it. The end of her volleyball career. She’s a first-year reserve libero up against the top girls in the nation, she’s going to mess up so royally and publicly that everyone’s going to forget even that one time that Rin degloved his hand.

She takes a seat in the hall and slowly counts on her fingers. Five things you can see. Four you can feel. Three you can hear. Two you can smell. One—she takes a sip of Pocari—you can taste.
