“OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN”

Instagrafite Magazine describes Christopher Konecki’s work as “a sophisticated cocktail which combines perfectly chaos and order.” “I like to explore how individuals interact with their environment and look towards visual symbols to tell the story” Konecki went on to say. In preparation for a March, 2017 show at LA’s Gabba Gallery he has been busy in his San Diego studio, and to help promote the show recently created this work behind a 7-Eleven next to the gallery. As one of several works I’ve now seen, rich with a common visual vocabulary, I reached out to Konecki to learn a bit more about this work, and the show, “Apethesis.” He says the show “explores the social conditions necessary to pacify and confuse the American public” and this particular work is one of a series that uses the endless sidewalk to represents the status quo and the “round and round of everyday life.” @konecki_art  @instagrafite​  @gabbagallery  @scenesfromthesidewalk
