Tavern sign is about ready to be hung up.
Finished my first ever commission!
Hobby journal : for a challenge on bluesky I decided to sculpt my own mini from scratch. Once past the "putting putty on armature" step I actually enjoyed sculpting. My armature is not good, I don't really like doing them. I think what I'm using is too sturdy and I dont have much strength. I guess the anatomy is not good either, but I'm hoping to get away with the fact that I'm looking for a more cartoony style.
Been watching thomas tumblr through the window for a while and figured it'd be cool to jump over a bit more :3
Thought a good place would be with a fav, Emily~
Became more fond of her as I got older, eventually becoming basically my favorite^^
Model's made from card, cardboard and painter card. Do quite like her, very much :3
My fav autistic Scottish sapphic queen, a force to be reckoned with and will absolutely chase down a bitch in 8 inch platform heels to hit someone with a bat.
BEHOLD my tiny, 1/64th scale wooden shipping pallets.
Hand-made, from cut-down wooden coffee stir sticks, using a template I made in Illustrator. Designed for use with Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars. Don't quite have a paint color / wash / stain that I'm happy with yet.
My build of the 1/537 Cut-away Original Series USS Enterprise, and a studio scale scratchbuild/kitbashed Battle Beyond The Stars Cowboy’s Freight Hauler
It takes a special cunning to be a brood parasite, disguising yourself as a baby dragon. As cuckoos can mimic the eggs of other birds to lay in their nests, so too do cuckoo drakes use illusion and guile to lay their eggs in the nests of other dragons.
This was one of the first scratch builds I started, and the prompt ‘mimic’ was just the kick in the tail this aardvark needed to finish the stats, lore and design for this creature. The flimsy wings and slender body of the dinos I used made me think this would be a low threat dragon, relying on the protection of others for survival.
