Happy 10th anniversary Freemakers! <3
Can't believe it's been 10 years since The Freemaker Adventures first aired. I had no idea that the random Lego Star Wars cartoon I watched, just because I was grounded and bored, is going to turn out into a huge hyperfixation and then into actual special interest. I still remember the times when I was using DeviantArt and I was super embarassed about posting my first fan art for this show... and now I have an entire blog centered around it.
And I'm having so much fun just creating. I love drawing fanarts, I love that thanks to this show I discovered the joy of writing fanfictions. I love, occasionally, making silly videos.
And I love seeing other people keeping this cartoon alive as well. I love interacting with other fans.
Despite the fact that there aren't that many Freemaker fans, I think this small fandom is doing such an amazing job at not letting this show be forgotten. I'm happy to be in a fandom with so much talent and kindness and I really appreciate everyone who supports me in any way. Let it be liking my arts, reblogging, posting comments or giving kudos on ao3.
Thank you all so much for everything! And let's keep building! :]
I come back with some more Freemaker headcanons. This time about singing:
Rowan likes to sing. He sings while he works, while he does chores, even in the shower. If he’s not yapping, he’s singing. There’s a reason Kordi knows that Rowan is a decent singer in the first episode: he never shuts up. Rowan also tends to drum on things as well. If he ever joined a band, he would be the drummer (this may be me projecting tho).
Zander tends to whistle more than sing while working , but just like Rowan, he’s always making some kinda noise. Additionally, he’ll play air guitar (do they have guitars in Star Wars?) along to a song if he gets really into it.
Kordi doesn’t really sing a lot, but she does hum when she’s happy or relaxed (so not a whole lot on the Wheel oof).
We see this in the show, but Roger also likes to hum/sing while he works. He’s not the greatest by human standards, but he doesn’t let that stop him.
Becky is an amazing singer (her voice actor is Dove Cameron, so duh), but is actually very insecure about her voice. Zander accidentally overhears her singing to herself once, and is like o•o. He really encourages her to not be so shy about her voice, and loves listening to her sing.
Lena was a good singer, and would sing lullabies she remembered from her childhood to all three of her children when they were little. Pace, however, was not the best singer, so he would stick with humming lullabies instead.
The sound of his parents singing/humming is one of the few memories of them Rowan has.
After their parents went missing, Kordi and Zander took over singing lullabies to Rowan when he got upset. (Roger would try too, but again, not the best singer by human standards)
This trend would continue after Moxie was born as well. She had no shortage of family members who would happily sing lullabies for her when she was sad or upset.
Moxie was also the type of kid to demand everyone sing karaoke with her. She would have the whole family jamming out together. Singing, air guitar, air drumming, the works. The adults make a big deal out of pretending to be annoyed when she asks, but they end up being more into than she is most of the time XD
I haven’t put much thought into what the Freemaker’s music tastes would actually be. If they were on Earth, I think Pace and Lena would have listened to a lot of classic rock, and would have passed this on to their children. This is inspired by the fact that the creators said Pace and Lena’s characters were inspired by Bruce Springsteen songs. Additionally, I think Rowan would like modern pop rock bands like Imagine Dragons. Let me know in the comments what music you’d think they’d enjoy.
Happy 10th anniversary, Freemaker Adventures!🎂
This show has held a special place in my heart for years. I can still recall when I watched it for the first time.
I was in 5th grade, and my dad finally convinced me to watch Star Wars. I started with the Original Trilogy and then the Prequals. From there, I was seeking more content, more shows, until I was watching Disney XD one day on my TV and came across Freemakers. I was like, "This looks like a fun show," and then I started watching it and instantly fell in love. I can also still remember watching season 1 almost every day on Prime Video before season 2 was even a single thought.
But, once season 2 was announced, I was bouncing all over the walls, excited that Freemakers was getting another season. When 6th grade came around, I prioritized my summer to watching season 2 on TV, and I remember all the emotional Rollercoasters I went through.
Then, once I got a phone, I installed Instagram and thought to myself, are there Freemaker posts? I searched and scrolled until I found some posts, and I was amazed at the amount of dedication people put into their posts and even now.
I used to always be on the sidelines of the Fandom, waiting for new posts to happen. But that was mostly because of the fact that I am a shy and introverted person irl.
This sort of led me to creating a blog on Tumblr. Knowing that there was a chance that I found my people, I decided to take a chance and create posts for the show I love.
This eventually led me to creating the discord server. A place where all freemaker fans can unite and talk about...just about anything.
I may have been a little late to the game, but I'm proud to be part of a fandom with amazing people who dedicate their time and day to keeping this fandom alive.
I would like to thank and acknowledge all those people in this fandom for creating amazing posts, fanarts, and fanfics that have kept my engagement with show alive.
Once again, I am happy to see this show still live up to its name, and I look forward to seeing where this fandom will go in the future.🥹
THIS IS FOR ALL MY LADIES WHO DON'T GET HYPED ENOUGH!! 📢
someone should yell at me to make freemaker fanart more often because i love this show sm

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures S1 - Brief Thoughts
"Millennia ago, before even the Old Republic, there was a wise Jedi, Master Baird Kantoo. Master Kantoo wanted to create a weapon worthy of the Jedi. Using a skill known only to him, he forged Kyber Crystals into one solid blade. This was the very first Lightsaber. The Kyber Saber was an impressive weapon. It magnified Kantoo's powers a thousandfold. When Kantoo realized the potential danger of the Kyber Saber, he smashed his blade to pieces. He gave the Kyber Saber crystals to trusted Jedi Knights to hide in distant corners of the galaxy, so that no one would ever again possess the power of the Kyber Saber." The story of the Kyber Saber
The Freemaker Adventures is one of the most underrated Star Wars shows. It captures what makes LEGO Star Wars so much fun while telling a fascinating story with a charming cast of characters. I find it hilarious how the show was created by the same people behind The Ghost and Molly McGee.
