Happy 10th anniversary Freemakers! <3

Can't believe it's been 10 years since The Freemaker Adventures first aired. I had no idea that the random Lego Star Wars cartoon I watched, just because I was grounded and bored, is going to turn out into a huge hyperfixation and then into actual special interest. I still remember the times when I was using DeviantArt and I was super embarassed about posting my first fan art for this show... and now I have an entire blog centered around it.

And I'm having so much fun just creating. I love drawing fanarts, I love that thanks to this show I discovered the joy of writing fanfictions. I love, occasionally, making silly videos.

And I love seeing other people keeping this cartoon alive as well. I love interacting with other fans.

Despite the fact that there aren't that many Freemaker fans, I think this small fandom is doing such an amazing job at not letting this show be forgotten. I'm happy to be in a fandom with so much talent and kindness and I really appreciate everyone who supports me in any way. Let it be liking my arts, reblogging, posting comments or giving kudos on ao3.

Anyone who says Robin doesn't have super powers is a liar. This mans power is a GODLY FUCKING AMOUNT OF PLOT ARMOR.

On a serious note tho, it's extremely annoying how much he got away with just for other character (especially Raven and Starfire) to be nerfed. Sometimes I felt like the series itself was glazing him. 03TT already struggles a lot with power inconsistency and this doesn't help.

Also no. He would not beat the team without his plot armor.

LMAO true!! Like, I love Robin, he's my absolute favourite, but it's a literal miracle that this guy didn't end up with a broken spine or absolutely screwed up knees. If this show wasn't a cartoon, he wouldn't have survived so many things that happened to him in the show, because humans' bodies are FRAGILE. Yet Robin behaved like his bones and internal organs were made from literal steel. The writers probably didn't know how to balance him properly, since he's the only one in the team without any superpowers. And since he's the leader, they probably didn't want to make him the weakest. And like? I kind of get it? But Robin still NEEDED that nerf and also I wouldn't see anything wrong with the leader character being physically weak when he has other abilities to contribute. I actually wouldn't mind exploring the side of him that struggles with the fact that he's actually the weakest in the team when it comes to his fragile human body. Maybe it could be a good lesson why it was a good thing that in the end he stopped being stubborn and agreed to work as a team with the others. Because let's be honest, Robin would definitely struggle a lot if he decided to work solo. Especially when it comes to Slade. Also, the argument that Robin would be able to defeat the other Titans alone is honestly hilarious. If I remember correctly, people only say that, because he was doing fine against them in Apprentice part 2, but they really forget the fact that the others were holding back the entire fight. They were losing to Robin, because they were confused and didn't even want to fight him in the first place. That's how they lost to Terra too at first; they were too distracted while trying to talk to her. I'm pretty sure if they have gotten serious and never found out about the probes in their bodies, the Titans would definitely put a much better fight against Robin too. And the last thing, I really thought that most fans knew that it's really Raven who's the strongest which is literally canon. If I remember correctly, Raven just doesn't go all out usually when it comes to her powers, because they can get very unstable and dangerous. But did people forget that she literally defeated something that's supposed to be undefeatable?? Trigon?? Hello? He was literally like "You can't defeat me, your powers don't even belong to you, they're just a piece of me." And Raven was like.

So since the 10th anniversary of the Freemakers happened recently, I decided to rewatch season 1 again, because it's been a while and I got to this moment in "The Mines of Graballa" episode.

I remember watching this scene for the first time when I was like 13 and I didn't understand it. And I didn't understand for many years why exactly Rowan tried to get this job. Because come on, Rowan is a kid, not very tall and DEFINITELY not capable when it comes to combat or his Force-sensitivity. And also?? He has a family that already has its own business. And also family that would PROBABLY prefer that Rowan was home instead of becoming a bounty hunter at 12 years old. So for many years I just thought.... well, kids aren't very smart most of the time and they tend to do stupid stuff, usually for fun (which is true, don't argue with me here, my mother is a teacher, so I know). But during this rewatch, I got to this scene and the gears in my head started turning. Because being reckless and doing dumb stuff is one thing. But Rowan isn't stupid (he has Kordi Freemaker as an older sister for Maker's sake) and he's perfectly aware of the fact that his family struggles a lot when it comes to money. And sure, they have their workshop, but it's not very successful, no matter how much Kordi and Zander try. Most importantly, he's just a kid, watching it all, because his siblings don't want his help most of the time, since he usually causes trouble. It has to make him feel bad or guilty that he doesn't help that much. So here we see him gain some confidence thanks to finding the Kyber crystal on his own (or at least kinda on his own) and naturally, when he sees a job opportunity, Rowan's like HECK YEAH LET'S DO IT

He just wanted to prove to his big siblings that he can help and actually make some money kgnkreg I'm crying Too bad Dengar absolutely destroyed him in less than a minute-

“Your fear betrays you, young Freemaker..” The Dark Lord now slowly paced in front of Rowan, as if contemplating how he should go about poisoning him next. “You will soon reveal the location of the Kyber Crystals.” Rowan could barely even find his voice. He felt as if someone snatched it from him, his words nothing more than a harsh, trembling whisper. “I won’t,” Rowan swore, but not even a moment later, he was crumbling all over again. Somewhere in-between, a soft, yet strangled sob snuck its way into his voice. “I- I can’t..” He barely had a split-second to look up and prepare before he was in hell again.

A Decade of Freemakers!

When I first saw this show in 2016, I had no idea how important this Lego space family would become to me. This show has been with me through so much in my life (to put that in perspective, this show came out when I was in middle school and now I’m in college). I’m so thankful for the creators for giving us such a wonderful series. As well as to all the amazing people in the fandom who are keeping it alive one post, fanart, and fanfic at a time. You guys deserve a slice of cake, just like the Freemakers do!

Happy 10th anniversary, Freemaker Adventures!🎂

This show has held a special place in my heart for years. I can still recall when I watched it for the first time.

I was in 5th grade, and my dad finally convinced me to watch Star Wars. I started with the Original Trilogy and then the Prequals. From there, I was seeking more content, more shows, until I was watching Disney XD one day on my TV and came across Freemakers. I was like, "This looks like a fun show," and then I started watching it and instantly fell in love. I can also still remember watching season 1 almost every day on Prime Video before season 2 was even a single thought.

But, once season 2 was announced, I was bouncing all over the walls, excited that Freemakers was getting another season. When 6th grade came around, I prioritized my summer to watching season 2 on TV, and I remember all the emotional Rollercoasters I went through.

Then, once I got a phone, I installed Instagram and thought to myself, are there Freemaker posts? I searched and scrolled until I found some posts, and I was amazed at the amount of dedication people put into their posts and even now.

I used to always be on the sidelines of the Fandom, waiting for new posts to happen. But that was mostly because of the fact that I am a shy and introverted person irl.

This sort of led me to creating a blog on Tumblr. Knowing that there was a chance that I found my people, I decided to take a chance and create posts for the show I love.

This eventually led me to creating the discord server. A place where all freemaker fans can unite and talk about...just about anything.

I may have been a little late to the game, but I'm proud to be part of a fandom with amazing people who dedicate their time and day to keeping this fandom alive.

I would like to thank and acknowledge all those people in this fandom for creating amazing posts, fanarts, and fanfics that have kept my engagement with show alive.

Once again, I am happy to see this show still live up to its name, and I look forward to seeing where this fandom will go in the future.🥹

It's done!

Finished building StarScavenger today and oh my gosh, I've had a blast! I've had lots of fun with it, not to mention, building LEGO is literally so relaxing too! I was so scared that it's going to be frustrating experience, so I'm glad it turned out to be the opposite of that! And the StarScavenger itself is so awesome! I don't ever want to hear anyone complaining about it again and saying that it's a bad set. It's literally so cool and fun and yeah, sure, StarScavenger would probably look so much better if it was indeed bigger. But I still love it so much, I love all the moving pieces and I love this little trick with MiniScavenger going into cargo hold. Like, okay it looks a bit weird from the side, but this is a kids' toy; it's meant to be played with. So I think this feature is really nicely designed when it comes to that. If I had gotten this toy as a kid, I would definitely have lots of fun with it! Anyway, seeing it on my shelf makes me so emotional :'] I love StarScavenger so much and I'm so happy that after so many years I finally managed to get it. Literally the best ship ever <3
