Plz tell me about korean social apps used in Korea which make me always read and listen to Korean language

I don't know exactly what you mean by that exactly, but I'm assuming you mean social media that is used in Korea / is mostly or all in Korean - forcing you to read, listen, and use to it all the time.

Technically, any social media can become that. You would have to follow a lot of Korean speakers/Korean learners and maybe even change the language to Korean on that specific social media platform or even your phone language - but you don't have to do that.

Korean Youtube Channel

A good Idea you could do is to make a new account for youtube and subscribe to only Korean speakers and It can become your Korean account. Not just korean teachers, but any things that you usually like to watch. For example, vloggers, gamers, cooking videos, fitness influencers, people who do fashion content, kids educational content, etc. But a less extreme version would be just subscribing to a good amount of Korean youtubers on your regular account.

Social Media Koreans Use

I'm sorry that I don't actually know a ton of specifically Korean sns, but I looked up a few

TWITCH & V-LIVE App

V-live is a live-streaming app where you can watch livestreams of your favorite Kpop groups. Usually they speak only in Korean, but I'm pretty sure there are subtitles added on to past streams anyways. You can practice listening and reading.

Twitch is a live-streaming platform as well, that doesn't only have Koreans but these days Korean gamers are very popular. You can find a person that you like to watch and practice your listening skills.

NAVER (blogs, webtoons..) Apps

Basically anything naver. But Naver is kind of like the "Google" of Korea. You can find a ton of blogs in Korean over there about a wide variety of topics. Naver webtoons is a good place to find cool webtoons to practice reading and you can learn lots of vocab, phrases, and slang.

HILOKAL App

This is different from the social media mentioned above, but there are native Koreans ans Korean teachers here. Basically, there are chatrooms that you can go into and practice speaking with native Koreans and other learners. You can also do that for other languages.

LANGUAGE EXCHANGE APPS

There are some good language exchange apps out there that you can use to practice speaking and texting with native speakers. Some will work better for some people than others.

1. T Money Card

So basically, Airvisual will actually help during your trip to Korea as you can check the weather to see if it is hazy or not. By knowing the condition, you can also prepare a mask just in case. 

5. Kakaotalk 

As everyone knows, Kakaotalk is a mobile messaging app which was operated by Kakao Corporation and often referred as KaTalk. It is an app that you can’t miss out on using as it is an app that almost all Korean use to message.

Popular Study Apps in Korea (공부 앱)

Hello everyone, this is admin Sung. Today, I’m going to introduce you popular apps related to studying.

1. Qanda 콴다

Qanda is a five-second-long app. If you have a problem you don't know while solving the problem, turn on the Qanda app and take a picture. At this time, there is no sound when filming. This is quite useful when you are at quiet reading room or library. Then, within five seconds, similar types of questions can be drawn up so you can think of those. You can ask directly using 'question mark' if they are still not solved. One out of 11,000 teachers from prestigious universities is matched to solve the problem, and answers to the problem are given within three minutes. Questions are available 24 hours a day, and all subjects are available in elementary, middle, and high schools. This is centrally a math-solving app using AI. When you study math, there might be a mathematical problem or a partial question which requires some explanation from a teacher. However, if it is late at night, or for students who do not go to academy, students would have trouble studying math efficiently. For those who need a math teacher at any time, this app helps them to be able to get mathematical explanation.

2. Yeol-pum-ta 열품타

The name of this app is actually abbreviation of 열정 품은 타이머, which means ‘passionate timer’ in Korean. This is a timer that measures study time, which is also useful for group studies. It is a study timer app that allows students to join several groups and compare study time with group members in the group. If you study alone, you sometimes might want to give up or take a break. But you can continue studying because you are motivated with this.

The most important feature is the  timer function. You can measure study time with this function.  You can see how much you studied for a week or a month at a glance. 0-4 hours, 4 to 7 hours, 7 to 10 hours, and more than 10 hours are marked in color.  After a day's use, study planners for the day are automatically created to reduce time waste.  If you join a study group, you can share your study time with the members of the group. Many people say that this function motivates them not to give up. There is also a way to turn on the camera and study with an unspecified number of people on the app for smoother concentration. It's also a mobile-optimized function.

Hello! Don't worry at all, I'm glad to help ^^

I daily use Lingodeer and Quizlet to make the flashcards (review them and take notes with examples of the words that are the hardest to remember).

I heard that Lingodeer is mostly paid now, I have no idea cause I have the acc since years ago back when it was basically all free. I recommend you to try it anyway cause it's really good. If you can't do much without paying, I have checked these apps and I think they are pretty good (I don't use them right now cause I don't wanna overwhelm myself with apps since I wanna establish a simple routine, so when I finish with lingodeer I will move to one of these for sure).

Then I use Naver dictionary and Papago to look up for words and translations. They are pretty great and by far the most useful ones, but of course be careful with using the translations since they can sound weird lol

Then as a passive way to learn, I listen to music and read the lyrics, and watch videos on YouTube from native speakers like vlogs or makeup or cooking, and also I watch videos on Vlive (or Weverse if you stan any of the groups available there) which can be useful if you stan some kpop group and they upload content there. In the case of the videos, I usually watch them with eng subs, but now I'm working on re-watching videos without subs so my brain can "guess" what's going on by actually paying attention to the Korea instead of just looking at the subs and be lazy lol.

Also I use Dongsa to check verbs conjugation when making sentences to make sure I won't mess up, Babo to check the grammar of a sentence, and Rieul to type numbers in Korean to be sure how to write them down (I mess them up a lot so lol).

For vocabulary and grammar I'm currently using my textbooks (Learn Korean with BTS - I've posted notes about them here - and Korean Grammar In Use), but you can also use the Sejong Institute apps in their different levels and Avocards for vocabulary flashcards sort by level.

my korean apps

hello everyone :) in this post I want to share which apps I use to study korean on the go. I actually had around two dozen apps related to korean on my phone, but no person could use all of them together, so I limited it down to only 12 apps

of course, some of those I haven't used in ages, but I do think they're useful from time to time

LingoDeer

I cannot stop raving about this app, their courses are so well thought through, they teach grammar well and the sample sentences are actually useful!

Memrise

there's nothing new about memrise, I use it because it has all 10 ttmik levels on there, with audio recordings and grammar explanations. @ whoever created that memrise course, I'll love you forever

NAVER dictionary

it's not just a dictionary, it has the papago translator integrated, there are podcasts, each day there's a "word of the day" and "global sentences" where you can learn not only a new sentence, but also view entire sample conversations

KORLINK

it's an app that compiles all ttmik pdf lessons

Beelinguapp

this app has many well known (short) stories and even fairytales which you can read in your native and target language side by side. if you want you can listen to the audio recordings as well, and even slow them down if you need

Grammar Haja

okay this app is amazing, it has nearly all grammar of the korean language, gives in-depth explanations and sample sentences. there's even a "confusing grammar" section where the difference between, well, confusing grammar points is explained

Hanji

you can type in a english or korean verb in any conjugation and it will not only give you the translation (they aren't always on point tho), but also all the possible conjugations for the verb. it includes all tenses, politeness levels and all possible suffixes

HiNative

HiNative allows you to ask questions about a country or a language to natives. you can phrase any question or use the options provided, such as 'does this sound natural', 'what's the difference between x and x' etc. you can even record your pronunciation or ask natives to send you a audio recording

HelloTalk

this app is mostly about language exchange, so making friends with natives or finding a studdy buddy. you can also post pictures and texts or read others public entries as reading / writing practice. if you want to meet up with someone you can enter your location and see who's near, but beware of the creeps that are on this app and stay safe

세종한국어 apps

these apps are provided by the king sejong institute foundation. there are different apps for different levels, but I downloaded the 회화 초급 and 문법 초급 (conversation and grammar for beginners) as well as the beginner to intermediate vocabulary app. I haven't really taken the time to go through the first two apps to check if there are basics that I still don't know by now, but I'm planning to check that once I have the time. so far I think these apps would be a really good way for beginners to ease into the language and learn the basics. they also provide mini games where you can test your knowledge

I just wanted to show the apps I use to help me study. The Talk to Me in Korean app is my favorite and it's very thorough and helpful. The Tiny cards app isn't just for Korean but you just search up a topic and it's very nice. There are good Korean lessons especially if you struggle with hangul or certain vocabulary. Memrise is really good too and my only real complaint is it teaches you things in formal and informal grammar but doesn't tell you which is which. So it's slightly aggravating but it's really nice for vocab and phrases and learning hangul. All in all these apps are really helpful and I just thought I'd share them 😊

i decided to try out lingodeer to see if it would be good for learning korean! here’s a quick but not so quick video of one of the lessons if any of you are thinking about using it :D so far i think it’s really good!!! i love how they include audio!!! i wish they had some sort of a placement test when you first download the app, though; more advanced learners might find it a pain to go through the stuff they already know. (note: you can choose to have romanization on or off by that little button in the top right corner, i chose to turn it off because romanization is pretty inaccurate imo)
