I finished the thing! Well, these two parts of the thing. There's still greaves, weaponry and clothing left to go. Glad I went ahead with repainting both. The helmet was finished but I wasn't quite happy with it, so bit the bullet and started over. Nothing like waking up at 4am on day three of a sore throat, after having dreamt about conversations from college (12+ years ago) only reworded to emphasise me being a jerk. Since sleep evades me, I'm continuing on with a repaint of the helmet. I wasn't happy with the finished form, so yesterday I took to it with a knife and smoothed out some of the more obvious join lines in the top. This is another Corinthian type helmet I pit together, still some paint work left to go.
