cd? what cd?
That’s it and it just flew over my head all these years. This is the true reason why what.cd was shut down.

i feel the same way about libertarianism tbh
both ideologies suffer from a “oh that didn’t work? better double down on it” kind of outlook and it’s infuriating. i legitimately like a lot of what marx had to say, especially in regards to history, but holy shit you’d think stalin invented the idea of the collective if you talk to anyone left of the green party. ‘stalin did nothing wrong but if he did they deserved it’ pretty much sums up modern western communist thought and it’s disgusting.

hey man that's hot and all but i'm 99% sure you didn't mean to post that to this blog
You’re actually 100% right
have you ever read the comic User Friendly? it's a weird look into late 90s and mid-2000s computer culture. it's been on indefinite hiatus since 2010 but every once in a while I read a few strips from its heyday and it makes me feel good inside even though it's a fundamentally terrible comic
yup. jerkcity mentioned it a lot back in the day. makes sense, as it’d definitely come up a lot among a bunch of IT professionals. it and shitty dilbert strips pinned up in cubicle walls, i imagine.
