M4 speaking to Senya on the gravestone

Senya: -when it's time to go to work, I'm who I need to be. The rest of the time, I'm just myself. You don't strike me as all that different

M4: I'm a Droid, an AI, a bounty hunter, I'm me all the time, every plan I form to take down a target is me, the actions I make are me, work and life are one in the same for me, I do not have the luxury of living a double life

Senya: ...Apparently I was wrong. Lana said you were quite modest about yourself, obviously Arcaan and Vaylin changed that

M4: You want Arcaan dethroned and apparently, instead of the Emperor's wrath, the jedi battlemaster, havoc squad, the barsen'thor of the jedi order, Darth Nox, cipher-9 or even the voidhound, I'm the one who's got the best chance of doing it somehow, so either you quit thinking you know me better than me before that czerka abomination begins to look trustworthy

Senya: I didn't mean to upset you, I'm not used to holding a proper conversation with a machine, Lana said you were sentient but she never went into details on whether or not you had feelings

i can’t remember whether i had any commentary for this. so i guess just enjoy some Vaylin

[image: scene is the dingy grey zakuulan swamps. Lana Beniko is facing off against a fully armored knight of zakuul, who is about to strike her with their saberstaff. Lana says “Get out of here! Save yourself!” The camera zooms out and the screen is “frozen” (its always frozen because screencap, but no motion should be occuring for Lana here anyway) as her lightsaber is falling out of her hand.

Valkorion, a blue forceghost, walks up. Valkorion says “You are outmatched. Death is all but certain for your Sith friend....” Tank, a red skinned twilek PC, says “take care of it.” The text “your actions will be remembered” and “valkorion approves” flashes up. end iamge]

so the things you get to choose whether you use valkorion’s power don’t really effect the outcome much. If you play through not “letting” valkorion save lana, she gets wounded by the knight but saved by Koth (I think. one of the companions. only played it that way once tho most of my characters weren’t willing to gamble w/ lana’s life)

you can view this in a couple ways - either valkorion is manipulating you, giving you the illusion of control when he knows/has reason to believe lana’s gonna live no matter what - he genuinely has no clue koth is in position to save her - or the writers are trying to give the players the illusion of control when they need lana to be fine no matter what

anyway

obviously tank saved lana. she has some disagreements w/ lana, but not “i wish you would conveniently die” disagreements. also lana is one of the only familiar faces tank has now

[image: setting is on the bridge of the gravestone, a grey-ish brown-ish interior of a ship. Koth Vortena is looking over his shoulder and saying “She was rutheless. After we deserted, she hunted us for months. Everyone on my crew bled more than once on account of her.” He turns to face Tank (twilek PC) and says “I put all my trust in Lana and she goes to Senya for help. she does not know what she’s getting us into. Senya acts according to .... I don’t know what. Her own narrow concept of justice, maybe. Even if her objectives align with yours, it doesn’t mean she’ll do what you need to get done -- believe me. Just -- don’t forget who dropped everything to storm the Spire and help Lana pull you out of carbonite. All right?” end image]

just documenting character’s dialogue cuz i know i’m gonna have to write them if i ever get to my fix-it fic
