Very angry ranting, read to your own discretion. Tldr: wanna love Fitz, but some Fitz lovers make me angry with the way they put down Keefe to make Fitz look better.
I wanna love Fitz so much but it's hard when many of the Fitz lovers are Keefe haters and in an attempt to make Fitz look good they use every example of everything Keefe has ever done wrong while also ignoring anything that Fitz has done wrong. Can we just accept that these characters are not perfect and are not meant to be perfect? Can we normalize bringing a character up without putting a different one down?
I don't care who hates who, who loves who. But when you use a different characters wrong actions to make the character you want to look good, look good, it makes me dislike that character more. And I don't want to dislike Fitz. In my reread, I'm starting to like him even more, but then someone has to act like Keefe is worst person in history in order to make Fitz look better, I get really annoyed.
Fitz has tons of amazing qualities. let's focus on those instead of absolutely destroying a different character. Destroy that character in a different post. But don't use those bad qualities to make a different characters good qualities look better.
People hate the Pinterest Keefe lovers-Fitz haters, but turn around do the exact same thing, just flopped. You're both equally annoying.
Also, can we start tagging character hate and ship hate appropriately? I have tags blocked for a reason. There is no need to be immature.
