What the show said: Teamwork helped them finally stop the outdoor training camp.

What I heard: Being gay saved the day. Maybe allyship too (Akkun). If Ida hadn’t been so whipped for Aoki, when he saw him unhappy, he wouldn’t have offered for the whole class to share ingredients or have shared his meal with Hashimoto and Aoki. He even said in the beginning of the series “how would it benefit me?” when a situation arised that involved considering the feelings of others. So he does most of his things originally based off of logic but Aoki made him work on caring for others. This is not imply he was never kind before but you cannot convince me that Aoki wasn’t the reason they passed the game. Or maybe just let me live in ignorance.

It won’t be cannon but I love some good ace/aro representation for Ida. It may be a controversial opinion but also bi representation for Aoki. I would argue because the reasons he likes Hashimoto is the same as with Ida (kindness, sincerity). And it’s not all women in the beginning, just one and they explain why.
