The Beheader, Derime Vemius, is definitely still not alive, but Kovier was hatched in the same area and was brought to his original hive by their shared lusus. 

Kovier was influenced by the scrawling in Derime’s journal; He used it as a vent so much of it was hardly coherent. Derime also wrote of his title- Though it was never officially credited to him- And Kovier found out more about his murders from there. 

Kovier became what he is because of Derime. He wanted to live up to his ancestor’s bloody, disgusting legacy. He probably initially- When he was still pretty young- Felt shame, but he soon learned that feeling wasn’t going anywhere fast so he decided he’d just embrace it and be as disgusting and evil as he could.

Hmm. Technically Kamara is my oldest, but her muse is far from alive. Kovier’s the oldest and most active, though Sveket’s a close third. Gonna go with Kovi.

Kovi could use a matesprit who would encourage him in some kind of direction and keep him tied down. Towards cannibalism and murder or away from it, either one doesn’t matter as long as it’s a direction. Preferably away from being a total sleaze though, who cares if he eats people just teach him some fucking manners.

Drop Kovier
