so I've been toying around with the idea of building an eldrazi deck, (might also just build an eldrazi themed cube but we'll see) I used to run zhulodok really hard but the colorless aspect to him kinda makes it hard to break away from the precon cause the precon is so stong and a lot of colorless cards are to generic to really wow me you know? and recently I've been looking at herighast erupting nullkite really hard so here are some pros and cons from my thoughts on both

zhul is cracked, it's not just an eldrazi commander, it's a colorless commander so any 7+ mana colorless spell from my hand gets me 2 more spells minimum while he is out which is fucking awesome, the big draw back is the colorless aspect for me, a lot of the best ramp for colorless is EXPENSIVE obvs I can run just less good ramp but then the deck will be clunky and slow which if you are playing an obvious spooky tribal you are more likely to just be knocked out first so you know of have to set up your game plan hard and fast.

the plan is so obvious especially if you are familiar with the precon which you kind of don't have the luxury of surprising your opponents, you are walking head first into a 3 way gank which stinks but if you can put up your dukes and play that archenemy roll it can make for some very fun games that are just wild.

herigast is also really good for this architype the main difference is you are a touch faster but your board state isn't huge, you can kind of daudle around some playing some big stuff before making the big push, honestly zhulodok does go in this deck cause of you are emerging stuff from your hand you are getting 2 more things each time which is probably your time to push, also being a red commander has its perks, not only do you run the artifact ramp but you also have rituals and a lot of temporary mana that you can use. you game plan is still a little obvious but you are just being quicker about it with a smaller board state.

my real problem with him is that you're still playing the archenemy and his explosive nature only works once before you're in the same spot as zhulodok except everyone knows you're faster so they will keep you in mind a lot more than zhulodok, which if you play in the same consistent pod you kind of fuck yourself.

in summary they are both good, incredibly fun decks, before anyone says anything yes ulalek and aslask were both looked at but they are significantly better at utilizing actions and spawns than the titans and I kind of really want the Titans to be the main focus on the deck, ulalek might be better at doing both but we will see, it's probably the most recognizable way to build it is my main problem
