this is the best mtg blog ive ever seen. Love someone insanely dedicated to being a fan of a really specific card. Raggadragga is fucking awesome

hes the fucking goat, unironically imo one of the best designed cards, his "downside" of requiring 7+ mana for things feels more like a blessing cause it means the only plays you make are big and cool, peep my moxfield list for him if you are ready to build the funnest commander ever

what I love the most about the eldrazi titans is how unapologetically they are both very strong and oddly combo resistant

for example I look at displacer kitten or exhibition tidecaller or underworld breach and I see how they can be looped or broken and I can start piecing together what unique way they can win the game

but with the titans (outside of cast loops like temur sabertooth+raggadragga goreguts boss+heronblade elite which combos with any creature with cmc 7+) they kind of stand on their own as one card monsters it feels like when you play them they hit the table and everyone looks on in horror especially in the 60 card formats

I wish wotc would print cards like this more often, obvs there are examples outside the titans but I feel like they are getting few and far between

also unban emrakul aeons torn in commander, she is exactly a bracket 4 card game changer, too strong for casual play but garbage in cEDH 15 mana for an extra turn spell and a slow 6 permanent per turn boardwipe is good but not great

I threw together an oops creatures deck where all the spells in the deck were creatures and specifically hate bears which I still think is pretty fun but I haven't really found a good way to win barring primal surge

which isn't even a guaranteed win but I think there is something there I'm just not seeing it yet

so outside of mana dorks I also collect the Eldrazi Titans but I play any of them in any of my decks which is kinda cringe cause I have some really cool arts of them, so I'm probably just gonna build a new deck to fit them all in there but Emrakul the aeons torn is still banned but like it could just go on the GC list, I get that it's a very slow and brutal death losing to emrakul in commander like unless you run the very few cards like scour from existence you're just saccing permanents while someone chips 15 power at the 120 combined life at he table but like I just wanna put it in the deck, or honestly just run it as the commander and be like yeah kill me if you must

comparing emrakuls to Raggadragga

rookie card, banned so can't even play it, it would trigger raggadragga so that's good, high power and toughness so could draw a lot of cards off of return of the wild speaker type spells and extra turn sometimes wins in raggadragga but not being able to bounce emrakul back to your hand with temur sabertooth type effects means you can't loop the pump so stinky tentacle monster can suckle deez
