Best

~ M.O. - Yuqi How you properly do a hip hop concept without being racist. Take notes Half the industry. The song is like Uh Oh's older sister and I love it for that. Everything was just on point from the styling to the Choreo to the song itself.

~ Blue Valentine - NMIXX Banger, Next question.

~ DIVINE - Stray Kids This feels like the love child of Thunderous and Walkin on water and I'm not mad at it honestly. I really enjoyed it.

~ Being a Good Girl Hurts - Yena Magical Girl concepts are just iconic, and I do not care if I am extremely biased. I need more magical girl songs like yesterday please.

~ Baby not Baby - Seulgi This song is so eerie and cunty honestly.

~ Do the Dance - ILLIT If Jellyous didn't exist this would be my favorite song of theirs. It's so magical and whimsical.

Worst

~ Rich Man - Aespa Same thoughts as dirty work but at least the concept photos were colorful.

~ Ceremony - Stray Kids I like everything as separate parts…All together it just feels..disjointed and not in a good way. I am all for experimentation, but you have to know when to pull back sometimes.

~ FUTW - Lisa It's hard to care about this when it sounds like another version of Money or Lalisa. Even without that, All I can think of is Vixi's wattpadesque bio whenever I look at the thumbnail.

~ Gnarly - Katseye Fly Sex.

~ Baditude - Soojin I'm not even mad…Just disappointed. Soojin is an incredible Idol…But when she isn't being shoved in the dungeon, She is given songs that either don't show her at her fullest potential, or she is given songs that don't suit her. It's really frustrating as someone who wants to see her thrive.

~ Eyes Closed - Jisoo x Zayn This is just a Perfume commercial but without the Perfume. It's not really that memorable.

MY PERSONAL OPINIONS

~ Hands up - MEOVV Easily their best song so far in my opinion. I heard someone say this would be an excellent world cup song and I honestly agree. I hope they explore more varied genres soon. Please don't waste their talent Teddy.

~ Everglow - NOWZ This feels very nostalgic in a sense. It's probably because I listened to a lot of Pop rock when I was younger but idk. I just think this is a really good song. Cube needs to do more for them and their groups who aren't Idle…

~ Body - Dayoung My only criticisms are the tesla in the beginning of the MV and the fact this was released in September. Otherwise this is just peak summer fun. Dayoung fucking worked her ass off during promotions and I think it paid off.

~ CBZ Primetime - Seventeen BSS BSS don't miss. They are just really good at doing bright empowering and motivating songs. I still stim bits of the songs sometimes and I come back to the mv at least once a month.

~ First Step - Basttie I was not expecting a Furry Kpop Group to debut this year. especially with such a charming song. I appreciate this so much. I wish them nothing but the best and I hope we get more music from them soon!!

~ White Cat - Yves I love when Artists have a strong concept and vibe. Yves just doesn't miss with her music. It always fits her no matter what it is. The song is just incredible. I can't wait to see her journey continue.

~ 1&Only - XLOV One of my favorite summer songs this year. I won't lie. Imma be had me a little concerned but I'm glad I waited for their next releases. They are extremely talented and Iconic. I know they will go far. Highly recommend checking them out.

~ Icarus - ARTMS This was number 1 before the last 2 releases happened. What can I really say that hasn't been said about this release. It's pure perfection. The Short film alone was absolutely incredible. But oh my god this song..its so ethereal and magical.

~ Good Goodbye - Hwasa I am so proud that Hwasa got to be the one to Dethrone Nmixx on the music charts. And I'm especially happy that it was this song. I just love everything about it, The lyrics, the vocals, the chemistry between Hwasa and Park Jeong-min. I need this to win awards immediately.

~ Spinnin on it - NMIXX This and Blue Valentine are honestly tied. Nmixx did not miss this year. Every release was an absolute smash hit and deserved all the praise and adoration. I am so proud to be an nswer. I hope they continue on this hot streak.

MY PERSONAL OPINION

~ I like you - ODD YOUTH

I just don't like the song. The chorus is really just annoying to listen to over and over. Honestly the bridge is the only part that sounds like it had potential. I feel like these girls have better range than what this song shows. The MV is okay. it feels like they were trying to go for quirky on a budget and It works well. I wish them nothing but the best and hope whatever they release next is better than this.

~ Dash - PLAVE

I kinda feel bad for criticizing them honestly. But this song is jarring and not in a fun Nmixx way. I get too much whiplash between the verses and chorus. I'm sure this group has some secret bangers I haven't heard of but I have given them a few chances to hook me in and it hasn't happened. I wish them well in their futures but I will respectfully not be listening anymore.

~ I like it hot - BLACK SWAN

Blackswan are so fucking talented and they deserve so much better. The mixing on this song is absolutely atrocious and the MV budget was blown on the location. It feels more like an ad than a proper song…DR Music need to put in more effort. They could easily rival Katseye if they could just fully unleash their power and potential.

~ Attention Seeker X:IN

Someone in the studio has it out for them I swear. Their voices are the obvious stick out point. Especially in the first chorus, That kind of nasal tone is more ear grating than appealing. These girls are trying so hard and I hope they can succeed.

~ Dirty work - Aespa

SM sabotaged them after the banger year they had in 2024. After Supernova, Armageddon and Whiplash I was ready to see what exciting stuff they would release next…and instead I get Bland slow and boring…Where is the edge? The grit? The weird shit? This and Rich man were just really disappointing.

~ Mamma mia - IZNA

I will say this. It sounds better live..But that is like the only positive I have for it. This is the most BlackPink Izna have sounded because Teddy has like two modes and he's milked both to death. This man needs some actual variety in his production because it is beyond lazy at this point.

~ Famous - ALLDAYPROJECT

I still stand by what I said in my initial review of the song; which you can find on my blog. And with each new controversy and decision I am more convinced that the black label wants them to crash and burn. This is not at all how you cultivate a successful fucking group. Fix your shit soon or you will inevitably begin to lose on the investment.

~ DIMM - VVS

I still hate the song so much. the lyrics are atrocious, the production is boring, the mv is all flash and no substance. I could go on but I'm just tired man. I am so tired. The only reason it isn't higher is because as far as I know, No AI was used in any part of it's production. Which is more than I can say for the top two.

~ Extra - Somi

First of all, Fuck AI. It has no reason to be in creative works whatsoever. Moving on: This song and Closer could have been something if they were not chained to the typical Teddy styling or whatever. It's just so boring. These could have been fun dance tracks, but they are way too short and uninteresting. At this point…Somi is a better Influencer than Idol.

~ Jump - Blackpink

This was the laziest thing I have seen from them, and I have seen the concert clips going around. I understand the sunk cost fallacy exists, but it gets to a point where I would personally just step back and go find another group to support. because it's clear they are only doing this for a paycheck and nothing more. There is no heart or soul. There is only an empty cavernous hole.

TOP TEN BEST B-SIDES OF 2025

MY PERSONAL OPINION

~ Strawberry Mimosa - Fromis_9 This is just a really pleasant song off their first album under the new label. I don't think this group has had a truly awful song. Even their more divisive tracks are still very enjoyable.

~ TKO - IVE If any group needed to call out their haters (Other than Le Sserafim) It's IVE. The vibes of the song are immaculate. The smooth vocals over a clean beat. No verse was wasted and I expected nothing less from them.

~ Kiss a Kitty - CHUU Another banger from everyone's favorite Lesbian. This song is so fun to listen and vibe too. I love the lyrics and her variety in tones, and the cat puns are just impeccably done. This is just a really good song. Definitely one my favorites from her.

~ Cherry Sky - MINNIE Honestly my favorite song on her debut solo album. It just sounds so fucking beautiful. Minnie is in total control with her siren voice and it honestly fits the themes. I highly recommend listening if you haven't.

~ Scott and Zelda - Bibi God Bibi is just incredible. This went viral for good reason. Her voice is perfectly suited for this kind of song. The range she shows with each release is honestly insane and I love it.

~ 8 - bit heart - ITZY This was a year for Video game style music. And I'm honestly here for it. I do love that Itzy really committed to the bit. The beat and lyrics work together perfectly. Definitely one of my new favorite songs and I wish we got an MV for this.

~ Groundwork - KiiiKiii I hope they delve further into this kind of music. It's different and fresh. A nice change of pace to the bland beige pop of most 5th gg's. It's charmingly strange and unique.

~ Ash - Le Sserafim This song is just…it's haunting and mystical. This is one of if not their best tracks. The vocals are insane on this, everyone sounds like pure magic. Easily the best song on that album hands down. This is proof the girls can handle longer songs.

~ Jellyous - ILLIT Honestly this might be my top ILLIT song. It's really fun and cute. I love all of the Videogame references in the MV. This is one of their most addictive choruses and the choreo is iconic at this point. I'd strongly recommend this to any new KPOP fans who want to check out 5th gen groups.

~ Papillon - NMIXX I ascend every time I listen to this. I have a review for this on the blog, and I honestly don't know what else I can say. This is just a perfect song. If you haven't listened to the Fe304:Forward Album yet. Do it, you won't regret it.

I have finished the worst songs list. Unless Blackpink make do on the threat to release an album this month or unless someone somehow makes something god-awful. It's staying the same.

Now I haven't even start on the bsides or title tracks but do not worry. Those will be worked on soon enough.
