Happy Krampusnacht everyone! Apparently there’s a recent thing where Krampus traps the souls of their victims in snowglobes now or something? Well, whether it’s accurate lore or not, that’s the theme of this year’s piece!

I thought it might be fun to show a bit of the process on my latest illustration, so here we have some of my initial sketches, the Jules Cheret poster I used for inspiration, my color study and the finished piece. There’s a bit more messing about that goes on in between these steps but you get the idea. >>
