My very first online commission, featuring Sofia the First & Clover her rabbit, alongside Patrick McHale’s Greg & Possum from Over the Garden Wall.

These are the Main Squad’s flabbergasted faces.

The more I research Welsh mythology, the more I tend to shift my The Vale of Wales’s character designs. 

For example, a vampiric Nicole & Nicolas can no longer be up to date. Nicolas is now a Coraniaid, a dwarf w/ exceptional hearing, & Nicole is a Cyhyraeth, a banshee-like death spirit. 

Despite their pale appearances, they wear bold, wine colored clothing to signify their employment under Aloysius Dragone. He prefers clean, tidy appearances, & since Nicolas’s job as an assassin is a demanding one anyway, Nicolas always stays clean shaven.

 “My dear Miss Reese, this life that you lead; trying to sway people to your side through good works, works that might not even lead you anywhere. It’s a waste of time, really, especially for humans.”

  “W-Well, I...don’t really see things that way. I just want to love people, because it’s the right thing to do, and besides, I enjoy it.”

  “But at your expense? True, someone might listen to you. But those chances are frightfully slim. People these days don’t like to be told how to live. You can encourage the world around you to live kindly all you want, but take it from an old soul: everyone would be better off living for their own needs and wants.”

  “But-But why not think of others while taking care of those needs?”

 “Child, you humans have such short existences, it’s almost pitiful. One minute you’re a beautiful little thing, full of hope and promise, and the next, you’re an old woman, wondering over what could’ve been. Thankfully, you’re not beyond hope. ”

 “What do you mean?”

 “I’d hate to see a rare creature like you throw her life away, trying to please people who won’t understand you, when you could be pleasing yourself or someone who does. There’s no one around quite like me either; the spawn of a draconic mother and a demonic father? An expert on high living and all magic both light and dark? You will learn a great deal from me. I can even extend your life with my tricks; that way, you will have all the time you need to live knowing the best of everything, and under my protection no less.”

  “Umm, no thanks, sir. I like the life I live now. I don’t have to live forever or anything. I mean, my faith is secure, so I try not to be afraid of death. I apologize, but I really must be goin-”

 “I insist...”

Got to chat with my friend @modtime about one of my OCs, Aloysius Dragone. Feels nice to get to talk about OCs with friends! Anyways, here are bad doodles of my big bad Boss  from The Vale of Wales; the head of a powerful hierarchy, w/ many creatures under his clawed thumb.

A small reference for Aerona, a mermaid turned humanoid, in The Vale of Wales. Often considered the most beautiful creature in the Vale, she's also one of the most dangerous. As Dragone's right hand woman, she'd rather die than let her only father figure down.
