“Thane.” Time for Shepard to ‘make the rounds’ again. Get a little time to talk with everyone on the team. For however long there would still be a team, anyways. The Reapers were still coming, but they’d reached a point where people were starting to realize their talents could be better used elsewhere than just cruising aimlessly in an invisible spaceship.
In short, the crew was fracturing, and every time they made port, someone else who got off didn’t get back on. So, maybe Shepard was as prepared to say ‘goodbye’ as ‘hello’. And, well, with the state of his condition...
This goodbye could very well be their last one.
