5 things about me

1. I love pie for breakfast. At Thanksgiving, my sister makes an extra lemon meringue just for me.

2. I have a 30-gallon freshwater fish tank and recently added a snail named Kevin (aka Snevin, because of this aftg post.)

3. When I was very young, a protective mother dog attacked me for getting too close. I have tiny scars on my face, but no memory of this other than many retellings, and no residual fear of dogs.

4. I have two implants: a new hip due to dysplasia and one for the smallest bone in the human body - can you guess it? x

5. In an AO3 comment, I created a recipe for the “shitty” toastie sandwich made in the story. My comment got me a marriage proposal. (aftg fandom, i hold it there in my hands by refectory.)

Some of my favorite authors that I don’t talk about on here are Robin Hobb (fantasy, 5 series in The Realm of the Elderlings world - you may have heard of main characters Fitz and the Fool), Elizabeth Haydon (Symphony of Ages series - fantasy with a strong female protagonist), Patricia Cornwell (Scarpetta series: a female medical examiner solves murders with the FBI), and Lee Child (Jack Reacher series with a former Army MP who now wanders around the U.S. righting wrongs and kicking ass.)

I think the lost fic in which Stiles and Derek are sent to a house in the middle of nowhere is "Terrified of These Four Walls" by Mithrel on Ao3.

Stiles and Derek are cursed and sent to another reality in a house where every time they do something smutty another piece of the outside world appears. Like for a hand job a street sign appears, a blowjob a next door neighbor appears.

Holy shit I just read the chapter and am still processing. You've done it again. Every time you update I am so impressed with how consistent your characters are how detailed your plot is. I'm still so I'm love with Unkindness. I left a comment, but I wanted to pop in and give you a more immediate response because holy shit. You really know how to make me feel things!

Is the weather important enough in Lessons to complain about? And how else would andrew behave? Jack threatens Neil’s future, so Andrew would naturally go straight for the jugular. (Frankly, I’ve always been quite impressed with the scenario you came up with. Don’t know what that says about me?). But like previous anon said, it would be fun to see how you’d write Lessons now. I love Lessons anyways, but an expanded/changed version? Count me in! Sounds so interesting!

Re:weather--yeah, apparently it was important enough to leave a paragraph in my comments section about it. There’s a chapter where Neil had a panic attack and felt a bit chilly out in the rain and the commenter said it “jarred them from the reading experience” because “cold isn’t a thing in South Carolina” or something along those lines. They also came back in Cartographer to comment on the chapter where Neil and Andrew are in Atlanta during a tornado warning because they were Just Checking~ if Georgia actually had tornadoes during that time of year (instead of taking .2 seconds to google it themselves). 

And re:Jack--this happened like a week and a half ago and people who follow me on twitter might remember my little rant about it lmao. This person was pissed off because I “crossed the line” with Jack and they think I should’ve had Andrew just beat him up/break his leg instead (because we don’t take physical assault seriously, I guess). They called me “cruel and sadistic” and said that I’m “insensitive toward mental health issues” because I had Andrew use Jack’s trauma against him. I didn’t think I needed to spell out the fact that I don’t necessarily condone everything the characters do in my fics (Characters Do Bad Things Sometimes), but apparently I was wrong.

Full warning, I left another ridiculous and long comment on your newest Creature's chapter. It's emotional and packed with SAT words the way I always am when things make me feel shit. Ha! But seriously, this story is turning out more beautiful than I could have EVER imagined a vampire AU could be. It's glorious. Thank you.
