Things I hope to see in the YOI movie
- A wedding
- Some background on Yuuri’s life outside of figure skating. Like what did he major in in college? How did he do in school? Just how much gaming did he do in his free time? Has he had past romantic relationships? I just got a lot of questions about our little katsudon.
-Some background on Victor in general. Literally the only thing we know about Victor is that he’s been skating for twenty years and is very much in love with Yuuri. I wanna know about his family; where his family lives, what their relationship is, whether or not he has any siblings. A flashback or two would just be phenomenal. Also I want to know Victor’s education background because I can not imagine Yakov or possibly Victor’s parents being ok with him neglecting his studies.
-To keep this train rolling why not some Yuri background? I vaguely remember seeing that Yuri’s mom was some what famous (dont quote me on this) and is always traveling which is why Nikolai is essentially raising his grandson. -Some down time. We’ve gotten so much official art that is just the YOI characters all hanging out being friends and honestly I would love to see those scenes come to life.
-No death. I’m all for angst but my heart can only take so much.
-My assumption for the plot of this movie is going to revolve around Victor’s return to the ice and the struggles of both competing and coaching. I like to think that we’re going to get some fluff with Victuuri living together in Russia while also getting moments where they both get frustrated with the other.
The moive could be about the approaching wedding; about them not only planning this huge event but also still competing both together and against each other and how stressful that can be. There could be drama, angst, fluff, and honestly it would be the best rom/com I’ve ever watched.
- I want to see more of the other skaters. I want to know more about Chris’s mystery man and get a more thorough explanation about their relationship. I also want more interaction between him and Victor so that we can get a better grasp on their friendship.
I want some fluffy scenes between Guang Hong and Leo because obviously Guang Hong has a crush on him or at the very least thinks very highly of him.
I want more of the Crisipino twins and Emil interactions. I ship Emimike a lot and would to see some of that develop.
I want to see the Russian skate team interact with Yuuri and for them to all become one big happy family. Also in the show we never once see Victor interact with anyone from Russia other than Yakov and Yuri so I want to see how he acts around the others; both on ice and off.
I want to see Phichit and/or Mari give Victor the shovel talk. Hell I want to see Yakov give Yuuri the shovel talk because deep down I know he cares.
I like JJ. I really do. I think he’s a good guy who cant take a hint and I wish him the best. However I dont see him being in the movie all that much. If we do see him I imagine it’ll be Yuuri going through his instagram and seeing a picture of JJ and Isabella getting married. Hell maybe he’ll even show up to try and compete with Victuuri to see who will have the better wedding. You know what. Fuck it. That sounds awesome and I want Victor to get super into the “competition” and making it more extra than it needs to be.
I would not mind some more interaction between Otabeck and Yuri. I dont need it but I wouldnt mind it.
- I want an uncensored kiss.
- All in all I want this to be a jam-packed movie with a run time of at least three and half hours.
