Ok, so, we all agree this second born prince is the laziest, prideful, arrogant beastman ever existed. He always takes naps to avoid responsibility yet always gets awake when it comes to his own interests.
So, imagine him actually getting up RIGHT after he hears your voice?
Oh boy, he did NOT notice that before. Even though he's always attentive and perspective with certain things, he has NEVER noticed this certain change in him before. Like it's like out of his own instincts, he just gets up and starts to find you with a lazy yawn. Almost like his brain just sets that schedule up already..
I mean, he's going to take a nap..then- Wait, he hears your voice and he already be opening his eyes like he did not just wanna sleep then proceeds to get up and follow your voice with one of his lion ears flicking to catch the slightness voice of yours
BUT when he gets asked by Ruggie's teases, that's when he tenses out of his sleepiness, his eyes grew wide and lips pursed with a still tail. Oh shit is what literally comes to his mind as he shook it off and denies the teases of Ruggie's (even though Ruggie KNOWSSS bro's denying but lets it slide)
He was a bit self aware by that now- Yet...HIS INSTINCTS KEPT NUDGING HIM AND FORCING HIM TO ACT UP BEFORE HE COULD THINK ABOUT IT..He doesn't know why his instincts keep trying to make him do that but I guess blame it on his species! (What the lions do tho :c)
However...he can't seem to stop. Literally he tried to ignore your voice and tried to take a nap but nope! You keep "waking him up." Hell, it will fully wake him up when he hears another voice with you- (+Extra: And he proceeds to loom over there like a VERY grumpy lion and side eyes the person you are talking with)
With that, it gets him even MOREE grumpier than before...always grumbling, muttering, or even cursing underneath his breath if you were around. Not that he was mad at you, more like mad at himself...Why would he let his primal instincts get a hold of him around you!?
Ofc, he was never used to these weird feelings and strange sudden instincts in him...So, at first, he thought you were a prey. A weak herbivore just begging to be caught in a predator's jaw (OoOooO, Scary-/jkjk)
Although...After a few (not really) months, He was finalllyyyyy confronted about it with Ruggie again, who found this hilarious with a dumbfounded Leona and simply said: "Awwh, Leona-sama is in loveee~!" adding a snicker at the end....and ohhhh boy, Leona's heart skipped a beat. He didn't know if it was from terror or...something else...
He's not in love...Nuh uh, he isn't! He swears he isn't!!!
...But oh you...Your voice, your personality, your appearance, your smile...oh that damn smile of yours..his heart beats a skip for you...Oh, how he wished to take you. Not as a predator anymore, oh no, more like a loverman wanting his lover to be by his side and spend time while holding each other

It's going to be a hell of a night, Leona thinks to himself.
I'll be honest, even though he's annoyed that he's been dragged, he's already wary and alert of this new place called, "Halloween Town." BUT now that he realizes his s/o is here along with the others and him, he's TRIPLE alert and wary. Extra, he's protective too. Expect him being by your side 24/7 (except when you need to go to the restroom or something personal, yk) and side eyeing a LOT of people trying to get cozy with you
One of my main headcanons about him is that he's very good at hiding his feelings behind a stoic look. Even if he does get caught off guard, it's just for a second before he gets back to being stoic like nothing happened. In other words, I feel like he would be very caught off guard at times when being around you for this Halloween event. Ex, the clothing change? Every time Skully is near by, Leona will side eye him with a small warning growl of his towards Skully; in which, it basically indicates: "Back tf up"
If your short on clothing or you normally get cold from any surroundings and the area is very chilly, Leona would take his HUGE AF coat from over his shoulders to your shoulders to cover your body completely
Even before being stuck into another world, Leona wanted to drag you to go with him because 1. he wants to spend time more you and 2. he can playfully judge you in his own way
Doesn't want to admit it but in the back of his mind, he's thinking on doing matching clothes when halloween comes because even though everyone's clothes got switched to more black-gothish clothing, yours and Leona's kinda did match (IN HIS OPINION-). So, why not?
When any of the town's folks mentions how cute (or their own way, horrific) you two are, Leona gets puffed up with pride
Would get focused on getting you to safety asap. Even when he realized, with the others, that they weren't in twisted wonderland...that changes A LOT of his mindset. He straight up PANICKED internally. Hell, maybe his soul left out of his body after he heard that-

And tbh, he feels flabbergasted, confuse, shock, dumbfounded, and most importantly, a bit of hurt.
Why? Well, you always have guarded yourself so much around a lot of people. Including himself, that he had a lot of time trying to get you get comfy and express yourself a bit. I mean, it work a bit that he thought he was successfully yet slowly getting you to be comfortable and assured that he means nothing but love and care for you. But looks like he was wrong- He didn't really know anything about your likings it seems. . .
Although, he will admit...seeing you running around Halloween Town with smile towards every decoration of Halloween's Town, the fright, the folks, the beauty of Halloween's miracles around them, or anything related to it, has Riddle soften up with a small smile of his own

How your ears perked up at his voice, how your tail puffed up to only wrap around yourself, the way your face would lit up...No- It's only because you see him as a foe! Ok, something is up. That's what Leona thinks because..there's NO way...you, the fox that he always taunted and who always taunt him back with such smarty sassy comebacks, is actually...acting different? He doesn't know what's going on but he will find out about this on his own.
So, he finally agrees to your offers without any teases (which ngl, when he first did that, it was a shock to you..and TO OTHERS-) and lets you lead him through the hunts...to only find out that you finally got comfortable to playfully fight with him, which he doesn't hesitate to playfully fight with you because come on- Lions LOVE playful fights...and it's because he wants to show you that he's STRONGER THAN YOU SO HAH-
Now, some times when he is TOO tired and actually declines you..he will sleep and all, but when he wakes up to only see you holding food you hunted to him? OH BOY..he knows now that you hiding something from him- But...he does accept you food (and will side eye you when he notices your silent victory dance) and eats it
But you know what? This is chill for Leona...so, expect him actually not minding this at all cuz you really aren't annoying him like before and I won't lie to you! He loves the playful comebacks and fights, so...he's chill with this

I'll say that Malleus will be already on guard...but since you're there too, he's triple on guard and VERY protective over you to the point that he can't move forward without you being by his side, or at least in front of his view. Like PLEASE, for the love of Sevens, my friend, DON'T TRY TO TEST THE WATERS HERE, because I won't repeat this ever, He. Will. Crash. Out.
You may be wondering of what that means...well, it means he lowkey explodes with more power around him and will actually destroy Halloween town in panic and rage (not at you ofc!) when he can't see you or doesn't know where you at.
Oh and yes, he lowkey was glaring DAGGERS at Skully when he even got close to you to peck your hand...He already knew Skully would do the same to you like Skully did with the others, including himself-
One of my main headcanons about Malleus is that when it comes to his closed ones, he makes sure that his closed ones are comfy and safe within his reach. It's just a habit of his, which that includes even more with his abandonment issues. In other words, this habit of his basically activates when you, a very very closed one of his (aka his sweet beloved), also are stuck with him and the others too.
To be honest, I see him not being creeped out by the Halloween Town..I actually see him being fascinated in this new environment. Yet that doesn't change the fact that you could be in danger!!! (In his opinion ofc!) So, if you really want to explore this place...he will court you personally with a soft assurance of his as usual. (+Extra: If you are having fun and liking this place, he will smile in relief and love)
Ngl, expect him to actually be the one who found you than Sebek when Skully kidnapped you for whatever reason. Let's say...Malleus did NOT got merciful on Skully to the point when Leona came, Leona joined in cuz 1. Malleus' pissed off face makes him look stupid (In Leona's opinion) Two. that's what happens when you steal the prefect, the cat, and the Halloween King! And three, for his own amusement ofc.
The reason why he "dragged" you to the book fair-...Actually, no, he invited you with such courtesy that he seemed like a prince offering the most beautiful rose to his sweet, gorgeous beloved of his....well, that is what's going on that time, except he is asking you out on a small, cute date with you!....Well, yk, Sebek heard and "had" to protect his WAKA-SAMAAAA (+Extra: Malleus scolded Sebek with such rudeness to try and interrupt the date with you. Buttt....the Halloween Town teleport was much "worse" in his opinion so-)

One of my main headcanons about Vil is that he's perspective through body language. So, don't even try to hide your uncomfiness because he will still see that you are uncomfortable. And dw, he will in fact offer you comfort and assurance you need, if needed, leading you away from the others too
With this sudden teleportation to another world, his guard is up. Not that it was never down, but it's high high from it's usual guard levels of his. Now if you really are interested, he will gasp and ask you how do you find this fun? Out of curiosity ofc in his tone. He never will be disgusted by what you love or find interested. And yes, he will in fact go and escort you through the Town
Because of the clothing, when Halloween comes, expect him to have a matching clothing for you to match with him (+Extra: He and you would match so beautifully that the year, nobody forgets about you two costume's)
Expect him to be the one actually be the one complaining in the Jack's selections for teams and all. Like NO, he’s NOT letting Jack, SKULLY, and Grim to be with you! HE LETS HIMSELF BE IN HIS OWN TEAM AND WILL TOLERATED IF YOU WERE LET TO BE IN HIS TEAM!
