For the past two months a musician and music teacher here in my town opened his home/studio/school for everyone to come and play, talk about or listen to music. He invited friends of him who are quite big musicians and well known in the business and also let people who live here sing and play, including a brilliant friend of mine. For some it was the first time ever performing in front of others. He just managed to get people of all generations, social classes and origin together and also welcomed refugees. He gave a lot of people something to put their heart into, appreciation and friends. In the evenings there would be concerts in this beautiful half-timbered house and everyone would just enjoy the music: from classical music, jazz, blues and tango, to pop and rap. Today was the last day of this amazing project and the house has never been as full. People were laughing, singing and dancing and generally just had a great time. We sat there for hours after the concert was over and chatted to some of the artists. I wish this night could've lasted forever so I could talk to every single amazing person there was. But sadly time passes and so I'm left waiting for next year, when this project might hopefully continue.
