Re: Not here for the hate

... and if I'm "kumbaya" so be it. I, like many of you, have never shipped before and won't ever again. It's been an eye opener over the past 2 yrs. about shipping culture and also the amount of internet hate out there. 😌 I can't change it, but I can choose NOT to be a part of it and encourage others to do the same.

W/ that said, I'm NOT into shipping wars - over fictional characters nor real life actors. I appreciate Bridgerton in general- its production aspects and each, different story. As for the actors, we all know what I believe in regards to Lukola and I'm not going to fight anyone over it.

I also can't condone creators who hate on anyone - Lukola, the adjacents OR other creators. They are entitled to their opinion(s) but I won't support it. I will simply unfollow (or never follow to begin with) and keep it moving...

1) Benophie is doing well

That should excite anyone who likes to watch Bridgerton and wants to see all 8 books come to life; mass interest helps it stay on air. How Lukola will be received this year remains to be seen... their personal life drama could affect things but it's also not their season so it may have minimal impact.

In the meantime, S4 promo is holding its own and it should, w/ Bridgerton becoming very popular over the past 5 yrs.

Views galore ⬇️ (Yes the only other recent reel w/ more views on NetflixUK is "Stranger Things", which even Lukola is watching lol)

2) Creators who hate (even if there's a grain of truth)

Some creators call out Lukola's fakery and that's a good thing... yet it's often accompanied by hate which is not good at all. They're often the same ones who won't acknowledge Lukola being together bts or BN. They lack valid research, mix up timelines, and their explanation(s) for the fakery are convoluted.

Let's take this last promo: yes, Lukola's interaction wasn't "them" but it wasn't studio mandated of all things. The real story, imo:

• It was filmed in Oct., a few wks. after the CDAN blind item about the fakery had come out. N knew obligations to A weren't over, and perhaps what the content of the Guardian article would be... she also probably knew about BN2 at that point (could be a reason why L was sitting in front of her).

• It's likely N was acting distant from L to overcompensate, which is her m.o. As @municolis pointed out, it's similar to her "aww thanks" at the SAGs, or her sarcastic I had a baby and bounced back comment at the IFTAs or her it's mad that people think I had a secret baby (!!!). It's N doing what she think she needs to do to ensure that nothing jeopardizes the contract w/ A.

3) Speaking of timelines...

There's no reason to believe that Lukola won't be at the S4 premiere on or around Jan. 29th (if there is a screening/ red carpet), as N has a 16-day break from POTWW. She does have a performance on Jan. 14th, so it's unlikely she will be at the Paris screening. It's uncertain what other cast members will be there but do not be shocked if L appears w/ A. (Low expectations, my friends!).
