“I envision a world where my choices are mine~”
Hey, this isn’t TGOD…
Jumping over to Matriphagy for a moment, I felt like working on a design for my interpretation of Kungan.
- Obviously, his design was gonna be somewhat based on a rabbit. While William’s meant to be a jackrabbit, Kungan’s meant to be more of a meek little lop bunny. Long, drooping shapes, softer face.
- Ms Tallah refuses to cut his hair, so he’s had to do it himself. The results are uneven and choppy.
- Wears one of his father’s old shirts that was left behind. It’s a little too big on Kungan, but he likes it. Ms Tallah obviously disapproves, but as long as he agrees to wear dresses and skirts then she’ll allow it.
- Wears his mother’s hand-me-down dress-skirts, just to appease her. Old-fashioned with lace trim and probably floral patterns.
- Soft socks to muffle his footsteps
- Doesn’t shave his arms or legs, much to his mother’s disapproval. But he always wears long sleeves and long skirts, she isn’t able to bring it up.
-Despite his shape language mostly being softer circles and squares, I wanted his hair to add a little sharpness to his silhouette to make him look a little high-strung and unpredictable.
I fuckin adore Matriphagy but boy oh boy is it kind of a bummer to think about the story sometimes

On Koan Practice
It's important to not regard koan practice as being antithetical to logic and reason, or even to the rational mind as a whole. It is not. Koan practice is a contemplative discipline and one rooted in mystical (sometimes oversimplified to "nondual") awareness, but we need to remember it has also served from its inception as a defacto method of training monastics, not just in meditation, but in doctrine, philosophy, and classical literature. Assuredly, there are several schools of koan practice in existence today, and they can differ in some significant ways. Nonetheless, I am comfortable generalizing that as a whole koan practice is simultaneously about the cultivation and digestion of mystical awareness. Digestion herein naturally means the absorption of the experiences that arise from mystical awareness into a manner of being that is clearly accessible to, expressable through, and saturating entirely the ordinary mind, which includes language and silence, motion and stillness. ~Sunyananda
