Hey, this isn’t TGOD…

Jumping over to Matriphagy for a moment, I felt like working on a design for my interpretation of Kungan.

- Obviously, his design was gonna be somewhat based on a rabbit. While William’s meant to be a jackrabbit, Kungan’s meant to be more of a meek little lop bunny. Long, drooping shapes, softer face.

- Ms Tallah refuses to cut his hair, so he’s had to do it himself. The results are uneven and choppy.

- Wears one of his father’s old shirts that was left behind. It’s a little too big on Kungan, but he likes it. Ms Tallah obviously disapproves, but as long as he agrees to wear dresses and skirts then she’ll allow it.

- Wears his mother’s hand-me-down dress-skirts, just to appease her. Old-fashioned with lace trim and probably floral patterns.

- Soft socks to muffle his footsteps

- Doesn’t shave his arms or legs, much to his mother’s disapproval. But he always wears long sleeves and long skirts, she isn’t able to bring it up.

-Despite his shape language mostly being softer circles and squares, I wanted his hair to add a little sharpness to his silhouette to make him look a little high-strung and unpredictable.

I fuckin adore Matriphagy but boy oh boy is it kind of a bummer to think about the story sometimes

One thing I learned while being on the internet is someone will always like you no matter how "strange" you are. Someone WILL see your art! Someone WILL understand! It IS about the very act of drawing! It IS about craft for crafts sake! The connection with other human beings will happen in due time!

Don't deny yourself. Be a weirdo.

Couldn’t have said it better myself!

I grew up loving to draw, but fell out of it as I grew older due to developing the mindset of that original screenshot. I still loved creating/developing characters, but whenever I tried putting things down on paper it would lose its fun. I couldn’t draw fanart because it was “pointless” and “embarassing.” I couldn’t draw my original characters because they needed to be “perfect” or no one would care.

I started this blog with the intention of letting go of that mindset. I found a story and characters that I enjoyed, I felt the motivation to draw, so I said “fuck it” and let myself have fun. And if one person found my art entertaining, then my mission was accomplished.

So yeah. I like doing my niche little drawings, and it makes practicing and improving my drawing skills more fun. And it’s nice to know there’s a few people out there, as well as my friends, who understand what the fuck I’m talking about.
