I used Kuretake's ZIG Illustration set No. 2 and their Gansai Tambi Sumi Colors set for this spooky seasonal painting. Honestly the colours in the pan look like they could be black paint, right? So, I made it my mission to try to create a colourful piece with them, really happy with how the tones harmonize eachother! Thank you so much once again to Kuretake for sponsoring me!

The main feature about kuretake's watercolor markers in comparison to regular watercolor paints is their stark clarity of pigment - even when applied to layers of different colors beneath. A kind of palpable magic never ceasing to amaze me✨🎨

inktober 07-10

im honestly not proud of this one but i said i’d post them all so here it is! i made so many mistakes that editing it took days and held me off from making new comics.. but it was a worthwile experience

Haha during the last few days I’m doing a few inktobers X’D Reagan in her new outfit for now (might colour later).

First time using the kuretake zig other than for outlining =w=)b I’m still getting used to it, but this is definitely one of the easier brush-pens to use!

Watercolor question: my questionable brushwork aside, are colors supposed to disintegrate into their component parts (indigo-y to blue and purple in this case) when you add enough water? Because my Arteza brush pens do, while my Zigs do not. Quality issue or lack of basic knowledge on my part?
