(question for all 3 mods) what do u think of genderfluid as in a person with dysphoria is amab mtf genderfluid nonbinary - 🐧

I ain’t trans. I can’t say for sure. I just know that “nonbinary” and “mtf” are contradictory labels.

Lion:

I think that a person like that is AMAB MTF with fluctuating levels of dysphoria- hence the “fluid” gender (being OK with their AGAB sometimes and sometimes not at all).

I think that they would be a person who was born transgender (AKA female brain, body with penis) but experiences dysphoria in varying intensity, sometimes not at all- lucky.

i agree w Lion on this! because gender is determined by the structure of your brain, and since male-trending structures and female-trending structures are significantly different, you'd be hard-pressed to prove your gender actually changes, because that would involve your brain shapeshifting from time to time.

"MTF" and "nonbinary" are also very contradictory terms. "MTF" is a binary-to-binary transition, and nonbinary is, well--not binary. most people say that genderfluid also falls under the nonbinary umbrella, so that contradicts "MTF" as well, because wouldn't they sometimes be "MTNB"?

so, i think the best label for someone like that would be AMAB/transfeminine genderfluid/nonbinary, because we are talking about an assigned-male person whose transition hinges on changing their appearance to more feminine to counter their naturally-masculine traits.
