barış is in my opinion the most relatable and unapologetically teenage character in the series full of caricatures. like, even in his most embarrassing moments, he managed to embody being 17 and not-that-cool extremely well. i cry whenever barış cries because he's like me in working class dude form 😢 sometimes you can give it your all and, more often than not, it won't be enough. sometimes your job is to be the crowbar and it ends there.

and in that vein of instrumentality, i'm left thinking about how a friendship between kutay and barış would go because both fall into a similar category (although the theme of instrumentality and only-being-looked-at-when-needed-to-do-something is more kutay's thing) of only finding being in relation to others... i'm sad. tjey mean a lot to me and i'm upset.
