Näyttely koostuu moraalia koskevista pienistä tarinoista. Jokainen on tehnyt joskus väärin, vastoin vallitsevia käsityksiä hyvästä ja oikeasta tavasta olla ja käyttäytyä. Onko tekojen vääryyden määrittäjä laki, uskonto vai subjektiivinen oikeuskäsitys. Milloin teko on moraalinen? Määrittääkö omatuntoa yleinen paheksunta tai pelko rangaistuksesta enemmän kuin yksilön oma moraalikäsitys? Moraali on aina häilyvä ja lait muuttuvat, ja lopulta jokainen on yksin valintojensa kanssa. Näyttelyssä vieras voi asettua anonyymin toisen asemaan ja kuulla tämän paljastavan pahat tekonsa. 

NYTE ry on porilainen taiteilijaseura, jonka keskus on Galleria 3H+K. Näyttely on toteutettu vaihtonäyttelynä yhteistyössä XL Art Spacen kanssa Poriin kuratoidun Vieras näköpiirissä -näyttelyn sekä NYTEn Kuuntele -näyttelyn muodossa.

NYTE presents: Kuuntele / Listen

The exhibition consists of little stories concerning morality. Everyone has done something wrong, something against prevailing conceptions of good or moral way of behaving. What defines the goodness of the deed? Is it by law, religion or one's own subjective idea of morality? When is an act considered to be a moral one? Is consciousness defined by general reprehension or fear of consequences more than one's own idea of moral? The concept of moral is vague and disputed one. In the end one is left alone with her choices. The exhibition welcomes you to step in the shoes of an anonymous other revealing his evil thoughts and deeds.

NYTE is an artist's association from Pori. The association runs an alternative art space Gallery 3H+K. This exhibition is an exchange with the "Vieras näköpiirissä" exhibition, curated by XL Art Space and currently on view at Gallery 3H+K.

The stories are mainly in Finnish.

RMX of "The Generations 1 (Eila Kivikk'aho, 1961) feat. AGF" taken from Kuuntele http://kuuntele.poemproducer.com/ (by Kari Sallamaa) Eila Kivikk'aho (1921–2004) is the most lyrical of these poetesses. Words and nature in unison, visual and auditive worlds as a united entity participating in the birth of the poems. Especially important is her collection Away from the Meadow (1951). In this CD she is represented with the poem "Generations" from the collection The Flock (1961). War water has filled trenches and a steel helmet left in the field. The same motif is expressed by Haavikko: war boots march through the mind. AGF has chosen the first part of Kivikk'aho's poem; can the young generation conquer the elder one, overrun by the war? Can you win the defeated one? The principle of defeat (varying Ernst Bloch's "Das Prinzip Niederlage") is repeated from generation to generation and perhaps by AGF's radical interpretation also dragged into the 21st century in the light of environmental rethinking.
